South Side Roots builds community while providing fresh, high quality foods that are affordable and accessible.
At South Side Roots we care about engaging and fostering community as much as we do about providing food that is fresh, nutritious and affordable to the neighborhood. Both the cafe and garden level corridor are designed to be warm, welcoming environments where people can eat, hang out, volunteer their time, and be around their neighbors. Make the cafe your new spot for weekday lunch, join us Tuesday evening for our community meal, or stop by the market to pick up some groceries.
We are located in the Reeb Avenue Center on the garden level of the building, which sits half a story below the first floor. To get to the market or the cafe enter in the building from the main or west entrances and take the stairs down to our level, where there is seating and community space through the corridor and into the cafe.
