My husband loves the barnyard buster except for the "grease or butter" that's always soaked into the potatoes. So tonight he specifically asked for the cook NOT to use so much butter when cooking his food. He came home to eat and the potatoes were completely covering the scrambled eggs and when he moved everything around of course it was dripping with excessive butter! Apparently they put the potatoes on top of the eggs so that they would maybe absorb the butter.. now to the biscuit! Completely RAW inside!!
Do not go to TJ’s on S. Hamilton Rd. I now know why they are closing these restaurants ordered a barnyard buster. It was absolutely terrible cold and complain. Took a picture which I will add took it back manager try to say that’s not how she made it as if I would eat some of the gravy I repeat it is the worst location to go to S. Hamilton Rd. I see now why the ratings are so low it’s customer service and trash food waffle house definitely much better
Barnyard Buster. Heart attack on a plate but so so good with white gravy smothering everything. If you leave here hungry it's your own fault. This is farm country and they know how to serve up a good down home farmers breakfast.Food: 4/5
Went to this location for the first time yesterday, food was delicious, server was also a manager. I forget her name. Food was awesome, hot fresh, fast service, friendly service, kept my coffee refilled and checked on us multiple times. The only ding is the building itself is older and seems like it might need a little renovation compared to some of the others West Broad, Grove City, Hamilton Rd. Won't stop us from coming back though. Happy its open longer hours than Hamilton Rd is.
Got home to an item missing, Called them and they made me bring everything back to ensure it was missingI had already got food out and on a plate for my nephew. The two ladies were playing the blame game instead of just making it right, then realized it was an online order. So the rest of my food was cold by the time they corrected my order. I asked what can be done now that all my other items were cold. The lady yelled for Mike, I waited about 5 minutes and Mike never came. I left and will never be back to Tee Jays after that terrible service. Tee Jays used to be known as one of the best places for breakfast, after seeing recent reviews and after my experience it seems they are going downhill. Do better Tee Jays.
Me and my daughter came in for a early dinner/late lunch. Billie was our server and she was amazing. Made sure everything was good, fresh and correct and she stayed on top of the refills.Food: 4/5
By far the nastiest dirtiest location I have ever seen. & since when was it okay for an employee to be blowing smoke inside of a restaurant?!!!?!??!!! I would be wrong to call the health inspector. Do better! ZERO STARSService: 1/5
Do not deserve any stars. T J Scramble, side a Bacon, gravy. not that difficult, been getting it for years it all taste like the grill has never been cleaned. Only positive was tipping Jamie. next time I will come in say "hi" to the girls and eat somewhere else.Service: 5/5
Our waitress, Mel, was quirky, really nice and present, and she is the only reason this place gets an extra star. For starters, the seats were very uncomfortable. They're diner booths, and and you can really feel the springs when you sit. I ordered the buffalo wing dings and fries and my boyfriend had a chicken sandwich and green beans. The food came out quickly. The chicken sandwich "sucked". It was so greasy and slimey that the bottom bun disintegrated in your hands when you picked it up. The chicken sandwich itself was lukewarm, and tasted like it grew up around burgers, so it thought it wanted to be a burger. The green beans tasted like someone opened a can of green beans and microwaved them in the juice of the can and served them to us. No seasonings. No flavor. The buffalo wing dings I had tasted like those precooked frozen wings you get at the grocery store that you can either microwave or bake -- they tasted microwaved and rubbery and slimey, but I could eat them. The fries! The fries were actually pretty tasty. We complained about the chicken sandwich, and Mel called a man, Mike, over. I'm guessing he was the manager. He was rude/curt in his response to Mel calling him over, and when we told him we didn't like the burger he just looked at us like we were morphing into mutant animals in front of him. He didnt apologize to us at all, and sort of made us feel like we needed to apologize for not liking the sandwich. We ended up getting some boneless barbecue wings to replace the sandwich. Those were just okay. All in all, a very meh experience. Wouldn't recommend.
September 16, 2022 After being at the James Hospital downtown for over 4 hours of testing, my family stopped in to get a bite to eat. The staff was courteous however the building felt dirty. The ceiling air vents were nasty, the ceiling was peeling and in some areas look like it was about to fall in. Had my dad with dimentia not wanted to eat there we would have walked out and went else where before heading back to Athens, Ohio. Won't be going back until the building is remodeled and in clean condition. I've been coming to this location when in town for over 30 years and nothing on the interior has ever been updated or redone.
