Southern Technical College - Fort Myers

I first I was like this school sucks, then a few months later they started to upgrade the school.... the teachers are awesome they really take there time with the students and will stay over... I started I will finish this year and I am excited

This is nothing but another for profit school with unqualified people leading. Most for profit schools staff are usually the same bunch of people who skip aroundfrom one school to the next! Don't even waste your time the place is full of unprofessional gossip ridden people! Sad atmosphere where favoritism nepotism and no integrity rules. Should you believe in good honest work ethic you will not make it here. Everyone covers up for one another so if you are not corrupt like the majority you will not LAST here. Only the shady scum balls are favored! Sad to put the school and or admissions on blast but unfortunately it's so true and this place needs to be exposed. This why admission jobs are always open, turnover is high!!!

Horrible management and very awful place to work. The DOA, Kathleen snook, is young, in experienced, unprofessional and lacks the ability to lead a team. She is petty and vindictive and sends nasty emails. I would not recommend working here or going to school here. Stay as far away from this place as possible and read reviews before you accept a position because what they say is true. Favoritism is big and you might not think that matters until as a rep your numbers are affected by it. You will be treated poorly and expected “to work with a sense of urgency”. They say you only have to work 1 Saturday a month but that turns into 4. There is a very high turn over rate, 8 people quit in a span of 6 months.There is a reason the school is struggling financial and worried about keeping the lights on. You can’t trust anyone and everyone gossips. They pay well but you are subjected to harassment, bullying, and extreme stress form Kathleen Snook and Alex Rodriguez. The unfair treatment and threats is a law suit waiting to happen. Spare yourself and do not work here I wish I would have listens to the reviews.

Future interior design students please stop and read this review. Stay as far away from this school as you possibly can. I gave a 1 star but it doesn’t even deserve that. When I started the program we were told we would be able to get a bachelors program, they got rid of that. I thought ok no problem I will just transfer to another school and finish my degree. Nope! Come to find out HALF WAY THROUGH the design program at southern technical college it is NOT AN ACCREDITED PROGRAM! So I can never go on to get a bachelor degree. We have had bad teacher after bad teacher. We had one professor that didn’t know how to teach us the material of the class he was put in charge of. We have complained many times but the staff at this school don’t care even the slightest bit for the design students. The drafting tables were bubbles up and needed replacing, the design room computers half of them don’t work, the list literally goes on and on with the issues. They are ripping the design students off by charging an astronomical amount of money and we are NOT learning what we should be and we do NOT have teachers that know how to teach us. I am supposed to graduate in March 2018 and I have stayed quiet about this school for so long but I can’t anymore. I see new design students and I want to tell them to run for the hills. Please if someone higher up is reading this (not at the Fort Myers campus) please do something about the way this program is being run. By the way for anyone reading this I am not one to complain but I am sick of being ignored by staff and being ripped off for the thousands and thousands of dollars I am spending to be apart of this program.

According to faculty the school is shutting down by June 2018 but they do not plan on warning students. I am a current nursing student who is transferring ASAP.
