Southwood is an old style "strip mall," with a wide variety of retail establishments. As a matter of fact, it was the first such mall built in South Austin. You can have copies or business cards made, get an MRI, CT scan or X-ray, receive dialysis treatment, purchase furniture or clothing, play laser tag, and even visit a food pantry. There is a stand alone drive through burger place in the lot, and wheelchair accessible parking and entrances to the stores. The spotty condition of the parking lot keeps the rating at 4 stars.

Went to Blazer Tag for our grandsons birthday party. The hostess was a lot of fun and the birthday boys left with a tee shirt and group photo with their friends. The kids all enjoyed themselves. Great place for a birthday party.

Been headed to this place since the Southwood movie theater owner, Earl Podolnick, brought elementary school students to see important films as "To Kill A Mockingbird". There is a great amount of reuse of this shopping center. There is a very complete imaging center (ARA), fast food, a high school equivalency facility & much more. All tucked nicely along easy access thouroughfares. Sadly, our beloved theater is a very successful laser tag venue. Thanks.

It's very out dated. It's one of the oldest strip malls in Austin. With the exception of the Blazer Lazer, it's mainly diagnostic and medical care places there.
