Had my 3rd and final baby here and I still have PTSD from the experience. Only two of my nurses were sweet and caring, the rest of the staff made my choice to birth there a complete misjudgment on my part. The rooms are outdated so you look and feel like you are giving birth in the 50's, which made me feel like I was on American Horror Story. They judged me for researching circumcision for my son and treated me like I was incarcerated there rather than receiving post natal care. My prenatal care was handled by Caleb Huff and I loved him, so he is highly recommended. Just opt to do the birth at Cabell. I almost grabbed the crucifix that adorned the wall in my room and do an exorcism on my nurses. THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU.

I was very pleased with my first experience here, as the night shift was great.
Second time, not so much. I had anaphylaxia; went in with a swollen mouth and tongue. We were there for over 5 hours. Saw a dr and a nurse twice in that time. Twice. We asked to see the dr so I could be discharged. Waited another 30 minutes and no one came or checked in on us. We finally just left. I didn't feel like I had another option.
Next time I'd rather chance death than go to St Marys.

My Mother was treated here all of her life. She passed away here in the ICU. The staff was very caring and professional.

Excellent staff doctors and nurses. You get treated with respect and the nurses are right there when you need them when you push the nurses button you don't have to wait 20 to 30 min like you do at other hospitals at St.Marys they come right to you. The doctors are excellent they explain everything and listen to the patient about their concerns. Excellent Hospital!!
