One of my favorite trails in the northwoods. Lovely transitions from hardwoods to pines throughout the trail, and there are some astonishing views of towering pines to see. Gorgeous lake view after view as you hike. This trail deserves a sunny day, due to the many lakeside vistas.

This is one of my favorite short trails in Vilas County. I like it even better in winter. Great for snowshoeing and winter photography on the loop trail adjacent to Star Lake.

Great hike for the family. A little over a mile with a 2.5 mile option. Nice views of the lake.
