Student Recreation Center

Great facility. They have everything you want and the cost is very reasonable, especially if you are a member of the alumni association. The staff are friendly and helpful and the equipment is kept maintained and clean. I wish the access was better, but everything else is hard to beat.

One of the best facilities in Southern California. Amazingly clean, beautiful, and full of good vibes. The variety of the classes that are offered here is also amazing

I really love the indoor track - that was my favorite feature as a member last year. The staff is very nice and it’s a really good, peaceful place for me to be. Looking forward to going back this summer!

In all my years of traveling and going to different training facilities around the world, this is quite literally the best gym I have ever been to. It has an indoor running track of 200m, indoor basketball courts, a boxing class, rock climbing, two swimming pools... there's just so much to list that I suggest anyone who attends CSUN to take advantage of the gym they have here. It's part of the student tuition fees. If you're not a student, the gym membership is pricey per semester but I think it's worth it, considering how much they offer here.

Top-notch LEED facility with plenty of room, machines, indoor basketball/volleyball courts, climbing area, track, and giant outdoor pool. Student staff are friendly and professional. Offers yoga and dance classes, swim lessons, personal training, etc. Users of the ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes generate electricity for the building, so you can feel good breaking a sweat while doing your part for the environment, too. Sure beats the crowds and waits to use machines at nearby private gyms. A true fitness gem for the Valley. Highly recommended for students and alumni alike living in the Northridge area.
