They are local, have their own twist to what they make. 2 hot tips to make your day: if you think it sounds remotely good, try the sandwich of the week. Always original, often surprising. Forget those other guys across the street. You want to be here for the best sandwiches in West Eugene. While the prices are slightly higher than those other guys, the portions are decent and the condiments (including the bread) are actually fresh and not just labeled that way. My every experience at this shop has been both positive and pleasant. The owner is attentive and seems to genuinely care about the level of customer service his patrons receive and sets an excellent example for his employees to follow. I'll definitely keep coming back as long as all of these statements stay true about the Sub Shop and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good local place to eat. As a side note: To the gentleman with the bad experience, there is always at least one. I'm sorry to hear of what happened to you there. After having yet another positive experience with Joel and the fine folks he has employed at his shop, I felt compelled to update this review by saying I still stand by what I had said before. I still go there at least once a month for myself. Any time the company I work for is playing host and serving lunch, The Sub Shop is the menu we happily feature. Seeing Joel in pursuit of what is good customer services and watching as his crew recognize the standard that has been set and then try to live up to it only reiterates the point that I made before. For the best sandwiches in West Eugene, The Sub Shop is where you want to be. This business deserves your patronage.

Under-rated sub shop in West Eugene with good "sub"-style sandwiches. You can pretty much get anything you want. The bread, when fresh, is really good. The #1 is good – I always ask for extra mayo, mustard, oil, & vinegar.

Great place for a sub sandwich: fresh ingredients, fresh bread and courteous staff. The price point is very competitive with the name brand places. I do like to support locally owned and operated businesses but they must provide a good value. This place does that.

Love this place... Been getting sandwiches here for years. Make sure you get their stamp card, if you get a certain amount of sandwiches you get one free. You can keep your card there as well...
