Super 8 by Wyndham Kansas City

Although I had made a reservation they didn't have me down for the hot tub suite I reserved, but they did fix that. The lock on the door was not securely fastened, had to trade a lamp for one that worked, the bathroom door literally hit the toilet when you opened it, the bathtub/shower & the hot tub paint/enamel was chipped and in rough condition, AND the ceiling above the hot tub has pieces falling down and lots of BLACK MOLD!!! Needless to say...I didn't dare get in it. Basically...this hotel has NOT been well maintained. I hate giving bad reviews but.... sometimes it's called for!

Room was very clean, beds were very comfortable too. We've stayed here several times. Great value. We will be back. Highly recommended. Food & drinks: Continental breakfast only. Eggs, sausage and gravy are needed. The food offered was fresh.

I want to tell everyone that my stay at super 8 wof by world of fun from December 6th until 12/27 has been a wonderful holiday experience. I hope everyone will come meet the friendly staff in the near future thank you for the clean and warm feeling. A home away from homeRooms: 5/5

All the staff were awesome.. the room was magnificent… great service all around.. again the staff went above and beyond… the breakfast was amazing

When visiting the area near Worlds of Fun, there are several hotel/motel options in the immediate vicinity; namely due West of the amusement park across Interstate 435 on Randolph Road/Corrington Avenue. Going back some 15 years ago, many of those options weren't bad at all, with one or two higher-priced options. Fast forward to 2022, and some of the motels are turning into places were the homeless or less fortunate live all the time. So finding a decent stay in that area is actually quite challenging. Fortunately, this hotel is still holding true to being a quality place to stay, and at a reasonable price. The Staff are friendly, and the hotel is clean. The rooms are what you expect with the normal amenities TV with cable, coffee pot, etc.. Access is through main doors to help with security. This is a plus given the location. The only thing to be concerned about and honestly this is not the fault of Super 8 is the deterioration of the surrounding area. Again, other motels very close by are not the basic bargain motels of yesteryear, instead hosting recent crimes as stand offs, assaults, and thefts. My wife and I were hosting our oldest son, his wife, and our grand daughter for a weekend. We live close by, so we wanted them to be close by as well. Given our local knowledge we had to do our homework and go through the reviews of all the hotels there and found this to be the best. We weren't disappointed, and neither was our son and his family. If you are planning a visit to say Worlds of Fun and want to stay very close to the Park, this is really your one good option without paying absurdly high prices or settling for a 15+ minute commute from the Park to your hotel.

This hotel was super disgusting. I have pictures for proof. Our room had not been cleaned at all. There were leftover bars of soap and shampoo left in our shower. Mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The shower head was a huge hole in the wall. There were cigarette burn holes in our blankets and bed coverings. Also other people's left over clothing pushed under the bed skirts of the beds. The carpet had not been vacuumed. The air conditioner hardly worked. The whole room had a musty smell. When I voiced my concerns to the front desk, I was met with an "Oh Well" attitude and that I was being charged no matter what.

We found BED BUGS in our room and we have video recording of them. Went to the front desk to ask for a refund so we could stay in a different hotel but they said only the manager could do it and he wouldn't be in until Monday. Manager was there on Saturday.. Pest control came in and said they found "nothing". We've been in touch with corporate so hopefully they can actually be of some help. Do not recommend staying here. Every staff member was very rude except for they lady that works nights.

This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. For this to be a super 8 it blows my mind. Well done management you should be proud. I’ll be coming back.

All the staff are courteous and nice plus the room was very clean… I definitely would come back
