Sweet Lou's Restaurant and Bar

The atmosphere was fantastic and the service was wonderful - but the food was super average. We started with calamari which was good but their dips weren't great at all. I got the fish and chips which were super flavorless, their home made tarter or whatever didn't help. If it's marked on the menu as the house favorite it should be better than average. Zips has better fish and chips for the same price. We also ordered the meatloaf which had an odd flavor and wasn't great either. If they could get their food dialed in I'd go back but from my experience yesterday, I probably won't. But it is a beautiful restaurant and great service. If you're looking more for atmosphere than food this place is great.

We came in for just dessert. The server sat down at our table like she was part of the group. Super unprofessional and inappropriate in a setting like that. The cobbler wasn't cobbler. My husband says it tasted more like a pancake. The brownie was mediocre. Probably won't be going back. This was just a last resort since it was late and nothing else was open.

Loved the atmosphere. Clean, and tidy. Service was great. Food was excellent. This was our first time there, but won't be our last. They have a nice wine list and beer list. Can't wait to go back.

Great spinach salad with shrimp on a stick. Hubby says BLTA sand was great. They have sweet potato fries too.
