This Mom and Pop Japanese Restaurant and their ample and fresh fish keep me coming in at least once a week. They make you feel like a family member that dropped by for dinner. Reminds me of the Japanese restaurants back in Hawaii where all us locals felt at home and loved the food served. Plus, that movie Tanpopo is in my all-time faves film list! Go enjoy this excellent traditional yet casual Japanese eatery. Just please leave me some fish too!

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the valley hands down. I always get the Katsudon or the Beef Curry and it never disappoints.

Gross..waitress 100 years old..not very friendly. My sushi was mushy and falling apart..it was warm. I was worried about food poisoning but I didn't get any..im sorry I really didn't like it.

One of very few fine dining experiences open late here in Palm Desert. If you love Traditional Japanese Sushi, you've found your place. We always feel like we've been transported to Tokyo! Tell them Desert Vapors sent you!

Food was delicious. Had the gyoza (pork potstickers/dumplings) and the katsudon (fried pork cutlet with egg over rice). Excellent flavors. Will be back for sure!
