A taproom and freehouse focusing on beer, cider, wine and food made simply and done well. If you have a passion for quality and community, pull up a chair.
Tap Union Freehouse is the result of a passion for beer, a knowledge of the brewing, experience in the industry, and a love of Vancouver.
With so many bars and restaurants downtown, why open another place? Quality. Being able to source locally with farms a stones throw away. Appreciating local craft beers while also sourcing nationally recognized and hard to find beers. Most of all creating an environment for the whole community. These are things that many places in downtown get one or two right, we want to do them all and do them well.
We want to create an environment that you want to stay in, that you can bring your family to, and that you can always feel welcome at. With a focus on 1930s and 1940s war era decor, we are going to celebrate Vancouver's history and bring the Luepke building back to it's original art deco splendor.
Our menu will be simple, with an emphasis on local produce, simple dishes, and comfort favorites. If you had it around your dinner table growing up, odds are we are going to try it out on our menu...just no casseroles. Our fermentors, canners, and smoker are going to work overtime to make meals with the best Clark County has to offer.
Finally, the Taps. 25 rotating taps that feature local favorites interspersed with some of the best our country, and others have to offer. From NW IPAs to black currant ciders to butternut squash sage Farmhouse ales, we should have something for everyone.
We look forward to opening our doors this fall and will keep you updated with all the changes and fun activities that happen. Thanks for following us and supporting a local in business!
