It's a very nice memorial with a good view of downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn. Don't go crazy out of your way to see it, but it's cool if you are in the neighborhood. Liberty State Park has better views in my opinion and isn't in the parking lot of a cruise port.

Very awesome memorial! We were here on a day when we could get right in but one of the workers said some days when there in a cruise ship heading to the Bahamas for a week or 2, the wait to get to the memorial can be an hour or more. Not sure if it would be worth that long of a wait although it is very awesome to see up close.

On the end of pier there is the tiny Harbor View 9/11 Memorial Park in Bayonne NJ. At its center is a gift to commemorate the victims of that terrible day. It is known by a couple of names officially the 'Tear Drop Memorial and lesser known as the 'Tear of Grief'. It's a 10 story profile of the World Trade Center with a huge crack through its center with a huge chrome tear drop in the center. It is a moving memorial, as you view and read the names of those who lost their lives that day that are engraved on 11 granite slabs surrounding the monument. Like all things in life there are those on either end of the spectrum pro and con, forgetting that most of us prefer to come down somewhere in between. Everyone should take some time to visit and enjoy the fantastic sights of lower Manhattan, The Statue of Liberty, the harbor boat/barge/cruise traffic and even the Empire State Building. Enjoy it, it is worth the effort.

This is the most breath taking thing I've ever seen. Why wasn't this on the news to let us know what a beautiful thing Russia did for us? Go see it, you will regret it. Nice place for schools to take their classes to see just exactly how many people we lost. Then go just a little bit further and have lunch at Liberty Park. Great history tour.

Beautiful monument, amazing colors, and very majestic. Wish it was located in a more strategic spot, more accessible and more promoted. A hidden gem with a wonderful meaning. The place is very well kept.
