STAY AWAY! TAG IS SHADY. We were with a local company CAMCO...great company. CAMCO sold out to TAG. Be careful of fine print. We were on quarterly billing and quarter renewed Feb 1. Put house up for sale in Jan. Sold house and cancelled policy on Feb 23. Because we didnt let them know on Jan 1 we were cancelling, we had to pay entire quarter bill vs the 1 month we used. How would we know house would sell and close that quick? Terrible way to end 10 yr relationship...I guess they don't want or need referrals.

I have nothing but great things to say about their tech Dan. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what he was looking for. He was very professional, polite, and helpful. He was wonderful and represented the alarm group very well!

Horrible customer service and reliability. The alarm went off and I called then to let them know it was by accident and was on hold for over 15 minutes. Also the Total Connect App has issues. Try to reset your user name or password either on IOS or Windows and it fails. Called the Tech and at 4:20 on a Wednesday they were gone for the day. Asked to speak to the person to cancel service and guess what; they were also gone for the day. This company used to be good until merge/bought out 2 years ago. Stay away.

We have been an HESI/The Alarm Group customer for over 13 years in two houses. We are moving out of state and out of their service area. They have presented us a $301.21 charge for early termination of a current monitoring service. The service rep offered to reduce the fee by 50% but as to a waiver given that we have been with them for 13 years - no dice. The service rep would not allow us to talk to, or give us the number of the owners. He only said he "would pass our comments along" Very frustrating and not the kind of service I would expect them to give to a loyal customer who has given them over $6,000 worth of business over the years.

I was not impressed with their customer service. When you cancel, they "forget" and you get another bill. It's hard to reach anybody. When you cancel you get "Maurice" who won't return calls or do what he says he's going to do. Their contracts are not very clear on purpose and they basically hook you into a long-term contract without giving you any details. Upon cancellation, I told them that they need to update their contracts to be more clear and they basically shrug it off. Be sure to read the fine print. Horrible experience and over-priced. They run their business unethically! I would stay away from these folks.
