Excellent food cooked freshly. There’s a little wait but it is absolutely worth it as the food is the best I’ve had from any chippy anywhere. Definitely not the cheapest place around, but it’s absolutely worth paying a little bit more for food this good. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Only one bench outside constantly occupied which meant sitting on the sea wall being watched by seagulls, but that’s to be expected given the location.
Hands down some of the best fish n chips we have ever had! We hired their food truck to cater our welcome party the day before our wedding. It was a smashing hit with all of our guests and we can't recommend working with them enough. Their fish is perfectly battered / fried and the chips are crisp and flavorful. Delicious!!!
Very good fish and chips, friendly staff, and good service Our food was cooked to order and it was presented very nicely in a cardboard box with a cutlery set. We sat outside on a bench and enjoyed them in the fresh sea air, what's not to love about that. I saw this place on the Michael Portillo Great British Railway Journeys show in 2021 and I was determined to visit, and I am so glad we did.

Really lovely fresh food, great service. Weekends are generally busy so be prepared to queue a bit but, its the price you pay for fresh cooked food and I promise you it's worth it! Pic is a small breaded scampi supper.
Some of the best fish and chips we've had. Long line to order, but very worth it. Delicious!
Found ourselves parked outside in our camper for the night. Best haddock and onion rings we've ever had without question. Not greasy at all. Mac&cheese pie pastry crust should win awards it probably has already; so thin and gorgeous. Chips are well cooked and seasoned - a small portion is still very large. Enjoy!Food: 5/5
If you're in the area, well worth your time and money. The shop is immaculate and the staff were all delightful. The fish was lovely with a perfect coating of crispy batter, and the chips were really nice as well. Some of the best I've ever had, and definitely the best I've tried in the Aberdeen area.
The best fish and chips I've had so far in the UK, portions are large too and price is reasonable in my view. However, we came during a weekday and waited over 40 minutes to eat it with not that many people in the queue in front of us. I understand they make it fresh, but it could have been managed faster for what is basically fastfood.
We ate from The Bay tonight after a lovely walk in Stonehaven. Positives - the portion sizes were good with a smaller option at a cheaper price. The food is cooked fresh to order and is delicious. The main issue is how long it takes. On a previous visit to Stonehaven, at a time when you had to order online rather than show up and queue, we went online at 5.30pm to order and it said we could collect it at 7.20pm so we gave up and went to another chip shop which was very good and took the expected wait time for freshly cooked food. This evening, I queued and waited nearly an hour for 2 fish suppers. My food was cooked and I could see it sitting in the counter for at least 10 minutes before I got it. The queue extends all the way into the shop in a U shape and your order is taken one at a time so you will be waiting behind all the others that ordered before you, no matter the size of their order. If they had a more efficient ordering system I would be more tempted to go back but, at the moment, I will go to the other one rather than wait.
