The Boat House, Lake Country

Worst experience I have had in 20 years of boating in the lake country. No accountability. Their techs ( Ike) are incapable of doing the diagnostics and or repair work. Tim will make excuses for a dead battery or incomplete work orders. Jamie does not follow through on work orders & commitments. AND then *I found out from a neighbor that a tech came and drove my boat without my knowledge or permission when I was out of state!- Very Unprofessional/ AVOID this place.

We have had excellent customer service since we purchased our boat this spring. Dan O did a great job showing us all the features on the boat. The entire Boat House staff has been great to work with. Recently we had an issue with our trailer tire when hauling our boat up north. The service department responded to our call immediately to get us a new trailer and continue our vacation. They turned a horrible start to our vacation around with amazingly fast customer service. We couldn't have asked for a better response. I would recommend the Boat House to any of our family and friends. Thanks for doing a great job!!

Absolutely terrible to work with. We bought a boat and lift from them in june and the boat was in their shop 5 times for a week at a time before it would run smoothly. The lift was the wrong model and installed incorrectly, we couldnt even get the boat on the lift let alone raise it out of the water. They tried charging us for the work done on the boat even though it had problems since the first day we got it. We ended up returning the lift since we ordered a different model than they sent us and they charged us for the installation and a restocking fee. they refuse to refund us the charged fees, even though we never got the lift we paid for. I have called over a dozen times trying to get some answers and when someone finally does return my call they say i need to talk to someone else or there is nothing they can do, even after speaking with a manager. i will be contacting the better business bureau. Do yourself a favor and use a more reputable marina

I would highly recommend not doing business with The Boat House. I have had two experiences and both of them were nightmares. They are highly unorganized, unprofessional, and over priced. I bought a used boat from them last year. In one year I had to put $4000 of work into the boat for it to be safe. It started with an oil leak within the first day of using it. During the test drive, I had questioned The Boat House sales guy about some of my concerns. His answer was "it's an old boat." My boat mechanic back in Illinois said no, you need to get all of this fixed to have a safe boat. When I called The Boathouse two weeks later, I was told, "sold as is." I gave them a second chance because they had a boat that was possibly a good wakesurf boat. I was talking to the sales lady for two weeks on the phone. We finally schedule a demo ride. I drove 2.5 hours to The Boat House. Once I got up there it's was nothing but lies. The boat needed repairs to even function correctly before the demo ride could even happen. They told me that it would be ready to go the next morning. I admit, I lost my cool. They ended up putting more mechanics on it to try and save the deal. When discussing the sales price, they wanted to make it right. I was hopeful especially with all of the hassle. They told me they would drop the price down $750. I was shocked! The sales lady even had the nerve to tell me, "How do you think I feel, I just lost a boat sale!" This company is all about themselves, isn't prepared, and lacks customer service in all aspects. This was a nightmare from the moment I walked in the door. I have now been burned by The Boathouse twice. I would highly recommend not even buying a life jacket from them. If you do decide to buy a boat from them, DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

Great company to do business with they are definitely on top of their game came into the shop on a Friday to check out a used boat brought it home Sunday. They found me exactly what I was looking for which I know was a difficult task considering I was looking for a pontoon boat that would be accessible with my wheelchair which means finding doors that were wide enough with enough room to move around comfortably in my wheelchair inside the boat. Quality, sales and service i would give an A+. If you happen to be in the lake country area and looking for a dealership this is the place to go
