The Broad Theater

Cool place to visit and hang out. The atmosphere is very laid back. Extremely nice staff. The facilities are clean and the prices are reasonable. It within walking distance from the canal streetcar. The only down side I had was that there was a strange unpleasant odor in the auditorium.

Seats are pretty comfy, there's a bar out in the lobby for those who are into that, and they even serve food during certain hours! The flavored popcorn is a treat. Definitely a unique vibe for a movie theater!

I came to Broad Street Theater wanting and expecting to love it but I was disappointed. First ,the parking situation is atrocious - there are maybe 25 spots in the lot and 15 spots off street near the theater for 4 or 6 movie auditoriums, which is nowhere near enough parking. So I had to park a couple of blocks away in a pretty rough area and it just wasn't safe. Why they haven't built a garage here, I'm not sure. Second, I purchased my ticket online and still had to wait in line to have them scan it and print me a ticket. What's the point of buying it online, with the added $1.50 fee if I have to wait in line anyway at the Box office? Ridiculous. The movie going experience itself was fine, not great. It was a little warm in the theater and the screen is relatively small, the sound was decent, chairs were comfortable enough. I think the owners should take a visit to the theater in Coolidge Corner in Brookline, MA and see what it could be, that's an amazing model of a small independent theater. Broad St. Theater has potential but it definitely isn't worthy of five stars yet and I'd love to see it get there eventually.

The Broad Theater is a great movie theater. It is a pleasant environment. It is very clean and conveniently located in New Orleans. A variety of food and drinks are sold. The seats are comfortable. The parking needs improvement.

This theater is wonderful. They show more artsy movies than the average theater, but they'll throw in fun goofy stuff now and then. They have great food and a nice bar with reasonable prices. It's always clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
