The Capital Grille

We made a reservation to enjoy an early meal before attending a musical at the Hippodrome. Our server, Layne, was the highlight of our wonderful experience. She was attentive, personable, and just fantastic. She had recommendations, knowledge about the wine, and a bubbly personality. The food and drinks were amazing as well. Only complaint would be that they don’t advertise their valet very well. It is on the side street instead of in front of the restaurant- so we didn’t know it was available and got street parking 2 blocks away that we had to pay for. Maybe a sign on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant stating where the valet is would resolve that issue. Overall, we had an incredible experience and though we live closer to several Capital Grilles, we would drive the further distance to have Layne be our server again!

Great restaurant for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is great and the service is superb. Dined for lunch and had the greatest Calamari I have had in a while. The lunch menu is varied and the food was delicious. The cheeseburger was moist and topped with candied bacon, yum. Jumbo shrimp were incredible. Salad and house dressing were also great. Has become one of my favorite spots in downtown Baltimore.

Excellence in motion! This was not a restaurant, it was a dinning experience. The staff was on top of everything and the entries were expertly prepared with aged steak and fresh food. Arrive early and sit at the bar to relax before dinner. This restaurant is at the top of my list for our annual anneversary dinner. Valet is available. Dinner jacket and a nice dress works best.

The food was excellent with tasty, tender steak. The sides were yummy. Layne, our server was awesome. Very personable and knowledgeable. She made the whole experience even better.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Baltimore. I had the Lamb Chops which were cooked perfectly (med rare) and the wine suggestions put the cherry on top. Great job, keep it up!
