The Classic consistently delivers great service and excellent food and tasty cocktails. It’s certainly underrated and, as a result, rarely crowded. I’d love to keep this as a neighborhood secret so I don’t have to worry about long waits for a table, but this place deserves a crowd. We generally go during happy hour and sit at the bar, where the bartenders are friendly and attentive. Do yourself a favor and check out The Classic. You won’t be disappointed.
We came at a very strange time, and the experience was still amazing. The food was phenomenal, everything was very well cooked. The pelmeni were absolutely perfect - taste like an upscale version of my grandmothers recipe. Seriously, they actually made me homesick. The chicken sandwich and burger were both perfectly cooked and the bread pudding desert was so so good. Good espresso as well. The atmosphere is amazing, it’s so light and airy and we loved all the plants, and the Mid-Century modern decor was beautiful. Wonderful concept and really, really great food and amazing, attentive service. We’ll definitely be back.
Was excited to try out the revamped digs. I love what they did with the all-new interiors...and the outdoor patio. The bar is far more prominent now and inviting for drinks or dining. The overall feeling here is far more bright, fresh and inviting. We shared the pate and it was yummy. Our salads were light and delicious. The menu changes so be on the lookout for new items to explore. Ps- I dig the free candy machines on the way out...fun! Our friendly, super helpful waitress made sure we didn't miss out. Enjoy.
I've been following The Classic on Instagram since they opened but finally got there last night with the hopes of a good meal and a deal. Sidebar. The owners of The Classic also owns one of my favorite Local Foods which has a great open layout with a fun design. The Classic matches that same look. From the moment you walk to the door, you get the impression it's not a typical restaurant. Plants line the outside and hang beautifully inside. It's such a fun design. I was a little confused on the happy hour menu but the options were plentiful. Good meal for a deal? Definitely achievable but I was with foodies so my portion was about $44 with tip but we tried alot of courses and had dessert so not bad. As we were leaving, noticed the candy machines. FREE CANDY! I retired well that night. Highly recommended.
Great service and even better food. The aesthetics of the restaurant are really nice, I’d describe it as a modern diner of sorts. Prices are fair for the quality of the food. Pictured is the onion dip, Brussels sprouts, the burger with fries. I recommend it all.
We came to the Classic for brunch on a Sunday and the food was delicious. When we first got there, it was an hour wait, so we sat at the booths which was perfectly fine. We actually got to see them making the food; everything is done fresh. Our food & service was great! There’s even free candy bags you can grab. Highly recommend.
Free champagne, free candy! What's not to like?! Everything was good but that burger was tdf! 24th wedding anniversary down, on to 25! Our server Adrian was a personable, knowledgeable guy - he told us all about the Josper oven from Italy made with Spanish steel, he brought us free champagne to celebrate, helped us make menu choices, and was there at exactly the times we needed him. We enjoyed the decor and vibe of the place and as you can see from the photos, we enjoyed the beauty of the food as well. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked and we'll be back - next time with our friend Gary Gee who recommended it to us.
Love the new vibe here! It is kind of a blend between Benys and Local Foods. Great food with unique twists. Anyone that can make so many veggies this delicious is a winner in my book. We enjoyed the drinks and had excellent service. We live in the neighborhood and will definitely be back. Love the succulents and plants in the patio as well!
Delicious food and drinks, but amazing customer service. We felt our waiter Tim was a mind reader knowing our every thought. We went for happy hour which ends at 7p and then stayed for dinner. 1- We ordered 2 happy hour appetizers and when they brought out the dishes our waiter added pelmeni dumplings just for us to try! And boy they were delicious. 2- I ordered a passion fruit margarita. They could add regular salt or chili salt. I said regular, but he knew I wanted to try the chili salt so he added a bit of on the rim for me to try. Perfect! 3- I ordered soup and my favorite part of the soup is the broth so he brought out extra broth! I’m sure it always comes out this way, but it was still great for the restaurant to do that! 4- He then gave me a jalapeño passion fruit margarita to try! It was even better than the regular one! 5- The margaritas were on the rocks and I usually don’t like ice. Without asking, he came by and asked if I would like to remove the ice from margarita. I said yes please!!
The burger here is alright but could have used more meat. I'm guessing it's 1/3 lb at most and it didn't fill the bun which just a bit of a pretty peeve of mine when it comes to burgers. The toppings on it were nice. The fries are pretty good, so that's a plus. $13-16 for burger and fries with tax and such is pretty average. The place itself is quite nice and the service and hostess were very nice. Nothing wrong with the place but I'm not rushing back.
