The Cove Restaurant & Marina

The food was great! Our waitress was really sweet and the atmosphere/view was spectacular. We had oysters and calamari to start and they were both delicious. The desserts could use some work but overall looked great. (We had the chocolate layer cake but it was mostly frosting).

The atmosphere is very pleasant. Service was very attentive. A very nice place to visit for after work cocktails. However, the food was just adequate. I won't say it's bad but I've certainly had better elsewhere. We had fresh oysters which were good, but I'm use to having lemon, cocktail sauce, hot sauce and a mignonette to choose from. The cove had lemon and cocktail sauce. We also had the seared tuna on wontons, tuna was great but missing some kind of sauce. I felt as tho the food was just prepared and served. No effort was made to make the food special and wanting more. I recommend The Cove for its atmosphere at cocktail hour. But I would eat somewhere else.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. What more can I say. Wait, there is something else, our server, Erika, was extremely pleasant and enjoyable. All and all a very nice experience. We will be back.

My husband and I have been coming here since it opened, mainly for being on the water. We’ve been many times on our boat stopping in for a drink and a bite to eat. Food is ok when they get it right and the service is terrible. We went last night and my husband was served a warm beer. When we asked the young waitress for a bottled beer instead bc the tap one was lukewarm, she didn’t even apologize. Next our meals, we each ordered a lobster roll, I ordered fries and he ordered mixed greens. We both received fries, it wasn’t even worth it to mention the mistake. We finished our drinks and left. It’s a nice spot on the water, but don’t expect much from the wait staff.

Typically very busy but worth the wait. I've been there for small dinner for 2 as well as hosted a party of 12. The staff were always very friendly and the food is very good.
