The Good Table

Came to this quaint looking restaurant for a nice date night with my husband. Initially our experience didn't start well when they seated us far in the back away at a table with no decor we asked for a seat change. They were Out of items on the menu we wanted. Soup and salads were fine but our entrees took quite a bit of time, during this long period of time we waited we noticed we were never brought bread and butter....we were starving! Finally when our food came, it was hardly what they claimed at a good price. Fish and chips was more like Gordon's fish sticks and the gyro plater well, it wasn't lamb... fish and chips only had one lemon wedge included when asked for more lemon I got a napkin with sliced lemon for water. Dinner cost $50 for us to leave hungry. Going to mcdonalds now..."Good honest food, good honest price" more like good honest mistake...

Sunday afternoon there was no wait. Food came in a timely manner, they kept our table's coffee filled. The giant, larger than a softball, seemingly popover inspired, heavily frosted cinnamon buns had to be finished at home.

I've been here a few times for dinner and loved it. This was my first visit for breakfast. AWESOME!

This place is really excellent. Pricey but worth every penny.

This is on our bucket list every time we travel to Maine. Awesome food and fantastic service.
