The Inn at Sugar Hill

We stopped here for dinner on our anniversary on Saturday, April 28, 2018. We attempted to call ahead to 1. Ask what time they closed. 2. If they would seat us since we were coming at about 8:45. No one answered the phone so we decided to just walk in since we would pass it anyway. We stepped inside the door and a waiter walked by us no less than 3 times and not once acknowledged our presence. No one ever came to the hostess station to greet us. No one let us know if someone would be with us shortly or if they would be closing soon or anything. We stood there waiting for at least 10 minutes. This waiter walked past us 3 times and was within 10 feet of us. He should have had the decency to say something to us or to at least send someone out to speak with us. After 10 minutes I told my husband that I didn't want to wait any longer so we just left. I definitely won't be back if their definition of customer service is to ignore patrons waiting to be seated.

I made reservations for restaurant week with my son and husband. When we arrived I asked if we could sit on the patio where we could look out at the river. The hostess told us that those tables were unavailable and were booked up (even though the restaurant was pretty empty). As we sat at our table a party of 3 entered the restaurant and the same hostess offered them the patio tables. My husband and I decided to leave. I can't help but wonder if it was because we were black or if it was too much of a bother to have a child in the restaurant. My son is very well behaved by the way. My husband spoke to the manager and the manager said he could offer us a desert...you can keep your desert and I'll keep my money. Thanks

My grandfather's mass was followed by a buffet with beer/wine at the bar here, and it was a great experience! The inn itself was cozy and adorable, and the wait staff was on point. The food was decent and the drink selection was not bad. I would recommend this place to friends.

Had a very good meal during restaurant week. Will definitely go back. Had great atmosphere with very nice view

This is one of the most beautiful places that I have stayed at. Beautiful view of the lake. Everyone here makes you feel at home. Very cozy
