Inn at Voorhees

Accommodations were nice and clean and up to date. The room had a simple, clean, modern vibe. One curious choice in design was the window treatment. Just a very effective light blocking shade. If you want privacy, you can't see outside at all. The breakfast had lots of choices but we had to wait for food to be replenished and people had to ask to have even utensils restocked. Perhaps it was a new person working there.

My husband and I decided to go put for a night without the kids but we didn't want to go too far so we stayed at the Inn at Voorhees. It was very nice. The room was a nice size and clean. The people who worked there were very helpful. The breakfast was great! The only complaint we would have is around 3am people came down our hallway making all kinds of noise, but that's not the hotels fault.

Don't look for a sign saying "Inn at Voorhees" but look for Holiday Inn Express, it's current iteration. It seems it was recently overhauled and has more modern fixtures. Our party had a king sized bed in the room, refrigerator, microwave, single-use Keurig and a walk-in shower, but the toilet seemed rather low for an adult. USB ports by the night tables are convenient and free WiFi is available. Free breakfast is included with the standards as well as eggs, meats, an automatic pancake maker and a coffee bar is available 24/7. There is an exercise room, laundry, pool and hospitality suite on site. The place is smoke free.

If the rooms were kept up a little better and they served a better variety of hot food at breakfast, I would give this place five stars. This is a decent place to stay and for the price you get a good deal. The staff was friendly, especially the cook, and we had no difficulties. Kim even helped us get connecting rooms that met our needs perfectly. It's away from the interstate, so no highway nose at night and there's plenty of restaurants nearby. My biggest disappointment was that they only had waffles and oatmeal for hot food at the breakfast. Other reviews showed sausage and eggs, and the cook said he usually has biscuits and gravy with home fries. I got the impression that management was cutting back on expenses.

Not for family. The rooms said 2 adults and 3 kids. Only had 1 king bed. Where is everyone to sleep. There was renovations going on the sanding sawing was still going on at 1020 pm on Saturday night. Had to call and ask to stop.
