Highly recommend this boutique hotel - the room I had was spacious and had plenty of closet space and toiletries and the location was great. The mini bar offerings are stocked and prices aren't as horrible as I've seen in other hotels. Very helpful and friendly staff. Only downside is the noise late on weekends nights - the hotel provides earplugs to help though.
Our room was beautiful, great location and Hutch was friendly and helpful. The bar server was also helpful I wish i could remember her name. The room was fantastic with great coffee. The other staff who were there the next day were not nearly as friendly as Hutch. Not really a complaint, but the only slight negative. Also, the dining room had to close for some reason so we had to go out in search of food for dinner and breakfast.
Extravagance and luxury are the two words I would use to describe this place. It's hands down the most expensive hotel I've ever been in, but completely worth it for a really special event. The receptionist was warm, friendly, and helpful. The whole place had so much character and charm! Definitely recommend this place for a special event like a big anniversary or honeymoon.
Had a Suite here, the place is so decked out w what I call French sophistication it's amazing. It's small so attention to detail is perfect. Check in is even a completely different experience than even the best hotels I've stayed at, in a great way. Don't forget to visit Sophia's lounge, it's the charm of the hotel on steroids.Rooms: 5/5
The Ivey's Hotel is a very cool boutique hotel located within the main business district of downtown Charlotte. The hotel is situated around many great shops and restaurants, the decor within the hotel is very upscale and trendy. We stayed in one of the balcony suites and absolutely loved the room. Our balcony was large and was the room right behind the hotel sign in all of the front facing stock photos. In any event, if your staying in Charlotte, this hotel and the Ritz-Carlton are your two nicest options.
Fun hotel for the room decor and to take cool pics for your insta account. Everything else was pretty disappointing. When I spend 300+ a night on a room, I expect to sleep on a cloud. It’s not the case on those rock solid mattress. The 3 star is because it’s a cool place but I did not sleep well. UPGRADE YOUR BED MATTRESSES PLEASE. I don’t plan on going back because of the terrible sleep unless they change the mattress. What makes it worse, is their survey after your stay mentions nothing about how you slept or how comfortable is the bed which is the single most important part of your stay.
Beautiful rooms. Loved the nespresso machine rather than keurig. Well-stocked minibar. Being downtown is so much more fun as you can walk a lot of places. Accommodating and lovely staff. Breakfast was great, too!Rooms: 5/5
The hotel is very beautiful and eclectically done well. However, the service was terrible in Sofias Lounge, the kitchen was closed during my stay and when I asked for new linens they just threw the sheets on the bed without changing them. While everyone was extremely kind, at this level of hotel you expect the service to match and it wasn't there.
My ABSOLUTE favorite hotel! Rooms are beautiful. After you stay here, neither Marriott, nor Hilton will do. In fact, you will feel like you're sleeping in the "projects."Rooms: 5/5
The staff here is great and attentive. Rooms are clean and super comfy. The restaurant they have gives you a vintage feel. I had a great experience here. And it's near by some nice restaurants un uptown Charlotte.
