The Katherine Cyran Breast Center

I was referred here for a mammogram and followup due to my family history. The staff were professional and the facility was warm, efficient, and tidy. My consult with Dr. Cyran was not very helpful, she didn't ask me anything about myself before launching into a lecture on healthy lifestyle choices. She did not give me any new information or resources. I left feeling lousy and demotivated to maintain the healthy choices I have been making. I will not return. I'd rather go without the recommended screenings than be treated that way again, but I'll try again elsewhere when I'm due for an MRI. Dr. Cyran, if you read this, please attend continuing education on motivational interviewing. I've received more helpful pamphlets.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Katherine M. Cyran and the staff. I arrived very concerned and super emotional, but seeing Dr. Katherine I immediately knew I was in good hands. Caring, smiling and laughing is good atmosphere for patients. She was incredibly patient, very professional and extremely kind. The whole team are very friendly and truly cares for your comfort. I loved the way they sit and talk you through everything. It felt good to be treated with professionalism and care.Best team of medical staff!

I've had two interactions with this office - one in-person and the other attempting to schedule a follow up. Both were terrible. When I called to schedule the first appointment, the person who answered the phone asked me if Tuesday worked, but then covered the phone to talk to a co-worker. I could hear her yelling yes, yelling at some other person in the office: "Well, how was I supposed to know you had someone book!? I'm booking this person!" When I was in-person, the two women at the front desk were rude to each other and about the patients - in front of me. They weren't very clear with instructions. Due to COVID, they asked me to wait in a back room, then asked me to move back to the front waiting room, and finally had me go back to the first room. I received a phone call from them in December letting me know it was time for a follow up. I didn't have a chance to call them back when they were open, but received a brash email the following week, "We are concerned about your health..." When I finally had time to go in for an appointment, I called them to schedule and they were closed for the holidays. The following week, I received a letter in the mail stating: we have sent you several letters to remind you to schedule another appointment. This is our final letter..." First of all... I had not received ANY letters from them - this was the first and apparently the final. Second of all, I called them and left a voicemail to schedule. I realize there's a business to run, but it's not being run very well. When I was finally able to see the doctor, she was wonderful. I felt totally comfortable. Unfortunately, the staff is rude, and I don't want to go to an office with rude staff - especially when you're thinking about the possibility of having breast cancer. These staff members should be the warmest, friendliest people around. I loved the doctor, but I would have to say that it's embarrassing how her staff is representing her name.

After shopping around for quotes, I chose Dr. Cyran because her rates were the most affordable. I'm really glad I did, the patient experience was seamless and comfortable, and Dr. Cyran was very personable. Definitely a big difference versus larger offices.

Aside from the unavoidable discomfort of the mammogram procedure, the Katherine M. Cyran MD Breast Center has done all I can imagine to assure personal comfort - right down to providing fresh snuggly robes rather than those "breezy" hospital-type gowns. Their equipment and procedures are state of the art. Staff are very professional and friendly. Best of all, the total focus of this Center is on breast health and whatever followup care a patient may need. I highly recommend them!

This center I've been to more than once and will continue going there. It is not only comprehensive but patients are treated in a very kind and caring way, with full dignity. It is as if they cannot do enough for the people they treat.

Dr. Cyran and her staff were all very nice, professional, and took their time with you while still being efficient. I liked the smaller more intimate center.
