The Lakeside Smokehouse/Spectacle Lake Lodge

Food was fantastic, the hosts were very helpful and the area is beautiful. Came for a wedding and had a wonderful time

Sunday brunch is worth the detour..lots of good food!!! The Lodge is located on the shore of spectacle lake and right on the snowmobile trail. There are many cottages for rent and they have snowmobile packages. I didn't stay overnight but it sure is tempting!

I really liked this place. Sure the room was tiny but it was quaint and the free water craft at any hour and access to the lake was great. Quite scenic with a lot of woodsy charm and friendly staff. The lodges themselves look charming though I stayed in a room. I had a lovely view of the lake, however, which was great to wake up to in the morning. Breakfast is not included though they run a restaurant on site as well. Only had breakfast but it was alright. I liked the french toast but the eggs and pancakes were overdone. All in all a nice getaway in the Algonquin region if you don't want to stay at a resort.

We have been to The Spectacle Lake Smokehouse a few times and have never need disappointed. Service is friendly and professional and the food is amazing. Add that to the beautiful location and what's not to love about this place! I highly recommend you drop by soon.

Just had lunch there with my Husband and it was great! A wonderful hidden spot to eat, we came upon it by chance in the local paper and looked it up. Great burgers and Greek salad was excellent! Service was excellent, beautiful view both inside and out on deck.
