The Montana Club Restaurant

We went there on a Saturday morning around 10 am for breakfast. There were no large crowds and there were several choices for seating. The hostess at the front desk was very accommodating and professional. We were quickly seated and the hostess was very knowledgeable and polite. We placed our orders and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they arrived! The Denver omelette was great, as were the hash browns and toast. The restaurant was very clean and the seating areas were all very comfortable and in excellent condition. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. I will definitely come again and I will also recommend it to my friends and family.

Excellent food. Their steaks are tender. Their seafood is cooked to perfection. Lobster is often overcooked, but not here. They now what they are doing. The staff is excellent and courteous. We were seated faster than they originally told us.

Food poisoning!!! I wasn't going to leave a review...but after my experience I believe I should share. About two months ago nine of us went for dinner at the Montana club my two children & I and other family members. I ordered the jambalaya mixed it all together and started eating, the fish did not taste right but I went ahead and ate about half of it, thinking it was just a little more fishy than I liked , this was around 8 o'clock at night I still had 80 miles back to Wyoming with my two children. We made one last stop just before nine on our way out of Billings and my nightmare began... I started having severe stomach cramping, we made five stops before getting to our destination that night and I missed work the next day... I had never had it but this was definitely food poisoning! I called the Montana club manager that next day and told them that the fish in the jambalaya I had ate must have been bad and that I had got food poisoning... The manager didn't seem to believe me but at the end of our conversational the manager asked for my address and said they would send me a gift certificate to come and eat there again. I am giving them just one star...I did get food poisoning, it cost me a days pay and they didn't believe anything I said and at the end lied to me saying they would send me something, which never came in the mail by the way! My family and I won't be going back there!

We had never been to the Montana Club so we thought we would give it a try. Big mistake, should have have read the reviews! First we had the ultimate margaritas and thought they were off, too salty and not enough sweetest. Then I had the sirloin and king crab. The sirloin was okay, but the crab was so rubbery you could not get at the meat. My husband's halibut was okay, but both our mashed potatoes were very dried out. I told the waiter about my crab, so she brought new crab legs and they were slightly better. Then to top it off the sales receipt was $7 higher than the final tab! We suspect we got charged for the extra crab, but we got tired of waiting for our waiter to reappear and explain. So paid it and left!

Food was really good. Nice clean place. Service was mediocre. Server took our order then we didn’t see him again till our dinner was over. We never got refills on our beverages.
