Paid $33 for a six ounce filet. The salad was extra. Had water to drink but still, for some reason, the bill was more than $45. All though the steak and salad were excellent it did not make up for the poor service of the bartender who never offered me a drink other than bring a glass of water. First time in over forty years I stiffed service. Excellent food, NO service.

Amazing view from top. Drinks were well made. Ate at the Bird Dog and it was really good. KU Bookstore inside was full of great merchandise. It was nice to be able to shop for my favorite team.

The room wasn't as nice as expected for the price. Not really any amenities, no parking unless you want to pay valet or pay KU campus price to park if you find a spot. Kind of a small room wasted on a big bathroom. The rest of the hotel is very nice looking. We did have a cool view from the room. But I would just pay the same or less to stay in a downtown hotel with a bigger room and a pool, gym, food, and parking.

The staff was very nice! I was only there for one night but I would recommend this to anyone. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The decor is unique and looks high end. The room service I had for breakfast was delicious, but a little pricey. The beds are very comfortable!

Incredibly designed. The Oread looks like it could've been apart of Lawrence for decades when in reality it's relatively new. The good thing about The Oread is that it doesn't overshadow the architecture of the surrounding campus. It respects that the campus is the appeal.
Speaking as a Lawrence resident, been inside, but never been a guest. Their restaurants are nice and the terraces are cool.
