SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kansas City Lenexa/City Center

Great experience. Fantastic staff, polite and helpful. The spacious rooms comfortably fit the 6 of us (two queen size bed and sofa with a trundle) and were very clean. Ample room for our clothes and luggage in huge walk-in closet and the dresser. Bathroom also very clean with plenty of hot water, great water pressure. And large enough for my wife and girls to get ready at the same time. The room was equipped with a kitchenette consisting of a small refrigerator & microwave. The indoor pool was clean and did not have a chlorine smell at all. The depth ranged between 3 1/2 and 6 feet so is it was good for the small kids but deep enough for the older ones not to complain too much. Although the hotel was almost booked solid, the halls were quiet and clean. This is now our go to hotel when in Kansas City.

I was fortunate enough (sarcasm) to book during a major girl's softball tournament with over 260 international teams staying in local hotels. Apparently mine was one and I didn't know until I arrived. The girls were busy playing in the elevators and causing general mayhem in the lobby, hallways, pool, and workout room. While I could still hear them in my room, things quieted down by midnight. I went down, concerned about checkout and getting a cart in the am and the front desk clerk gradually extended my checkout without prodding after telling me that all of the girls would be checking it at the same time. The hotel is fairly new and the rooms felt it. The AC is one of those idiotic motion sensor systems that shuts off in the middle of the night. The fridge, likewise, is a moronic green appliance that cools for two hours and shuts off until you press a button; however it must have been overridden because mine stayed cold all night. My only major complaint about the room was that the tub was built for Smurfs. I wanted a nice relaxing bath after being on the road for 10 hours and my knees were under my chin, and I'm only 5'10”. I'd hate to be taller. I would stay at this location again, although I'll be sure to check and make sure that the softball team are in another city first!

We hosted a baby shower here in there event space. The locate was very modern and had an outside patio with a fire pit. All the food you bring has to be made somewhere and they will make you prove to with a receipt. The event was good and the staff was very helpful the entire time.

Was here just for an event, baby shower. The room was nice. The father-to-be said that the tv setup and audio didn't work correctly as they were instructed it would. But they were able to have music playing on the speakers in the ceiling that could be controlled easily. Overall the place the seemed nice, recently built. There were lots of people in the lobby just hanging out, seemed friendly.

Very nice place to stay while in town. If you doing activities on the north west side of KC I would recommend staying here. 15 minutes from Legends mall, KS speedway and Children's Mercy Park.
