DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Kansas City - Overland Park

I give it five stars, because the pros outweigh the cons. They have very reasonable rates for most rooms, the place is beautiful, the staff is amazing and the buffet is huge and amazing as well. It is pet friendly, and a lot of friendly pets left their business cards around the building, so if you're on a date with that special someone and you're sitting outside admiring the beautiful landscape and you smell something, don't accuse each other, blame it on the dog. In Double Tree's defense, they have poochie poop bag stations everywhere. I was very impressed with how staff stayed up on maintaining the elevators, plumbing, traffic and other issues that come when you have a youth summit of over eight churches,as well as other conferences and families. You won't be disappointed.

The hotel was very nicely decorated staff was pleasant parking left a little to be desired since they were resurfacing the parking lot but overall a very nice venue. I attended a convention and the room was decorated nicely the lunch however left a little to be desired. The meat was tough and the potatoes had way too much garlic in them to be edible. The coffee was great however.

Nice hotel. Nice staff. AC could be a little cooler. Outdated decor. I would highly recommend this place. The dinner last night was fantastic. Quiet place to rest your bump. I'm on the Twitter @cubbieblu72.

Went there for the May 12th Reptile Show in one of their huge ballrooms. The hotel is stunning, and their staff very friendly. They have a great looking pool and restaurant, but I can't speak to their quality as I was not a hotel guest, just attending a convention. I would definitely stay there overnight though, if I needed to.

My co-worker was the one staying at this hotel but from what I saw this hotel is just okay. They said they were putting my coworker in a newly renovated room but upon entering the room it seemed like a typical normal room. I suppose it is good news, who knows what the old room looked like. However, my co-worker's shower did not work so I supposed it's a work in progress. They gave my coworker points for his trouble and all was well I'm the end.
