Extended Stay America Hotel Kansas City - Overland Park - Nall Ave.

This is a one star hotel at best. It will work for the short time that we are here. Very strange smells in the rooms. There were cigarette holes in the comforters. The rooms are really small. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had to change rooms, our initial room wreaked of smoke, and wasn't clean, and then our room key didn't work after we changed rooms, so that was frustrating..Then on our second night, the room next to us had a Rottweiler or Pitt Bull, that barked incessantly for atleast 2 hours, and all the gentleman at the front desk said was, sorry about that...

I've stayed here a couple times and had success. It is close to work, shopping and restaurants. The room is large and with a good layout. But most importantly, they allow my 4 legged child. With most dog owners he is like my child that I just can't leave at the house or board for months at a time. It is always next to impossible to find a long term accommodations when you have a dog. And I appreciate that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to stay here long term with him as most places have pet fees that just keep adding up.

The first night of my stay the room smelled terrible from the neighboring room smoking cigarettes. The refrigerator leaked water all over the floor. I got up the next morning and someone dumped a huge mess directly on the hallway floor including chicken wing bones and other garbage. I got back from my business meeting that night, opened my room door and the whole room reeked of weed. Again the neighboring room was clearly smoking non stop. I got my room moved, and the staff was helpful. Came back upstairs to my new room (same floor, just accross the hall) and a lady was screaming and cussing extremely loudly in her room. This was after 10pm. A friend that I was traveling with had the same issue with weed & cigarette smoke in his room. I would definitely never stay here again and I'm glad I wasn't traveling with kids. We ended up cancelling the 3rd night of our stay and just drove through the night to get home instead.

It was a good stay for the money we paid.the room was clean to my name eye. I got Pot and pan to cook. From the front desk she was kind to me. There is no real breakfast just coffee and tea cookies etc. We are a trucking family who moves a lot. So yes I would come back for a overnite stay again.

Good value and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Not the most updated but very good for the money.
