This was my first time to this property and was the next stop on my Ambassador tour of Intercontinental properties. The front desk agent was very nice and friendly but left out the details of my stay and my upgraded room. Again, I always stress that the benefits and expectations of the Ambassador status would lead the guest to expect a little more info at that time. But overall the stay was amazing. My upgraded corner room was PERFECT and the double balconies offered great views of the city. Clean and modern design along with a great nights sleep. I would have to say for the 3rd time at an Intercontinental I did request a Savory amenity in my room and once again got the same fruit I always get. One of the best features of this hotel is the lounge access and this location offers multiple courses to enjoy in the lounge with an amazing staff to indulge you with some great information about the hotel and city. Craig was sure to offer me the history of the hotel and his card if I needed anything. The weather was cool and the pool was not open and I plan to return for a summer trip to further review this property but really enjoyed my stay here and was glad to share The Intercontinental Life with a few of my friends this time.

This hotel was in a great location, right off of the plaza in Kansas City. We were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants with ease. The employees were so nice and polite and very willing to share information about what was going on in the hotel. They served Starbucks in the bar which was really nice. The room we stayed in was nice too. It had a balcony and was very clean.

Good food and the place was so great. Lots of friendly staff and the ambiance is great too. They have great banquet hall whenever we are here and the space and venue is so beautiful. It's very close to the Plaza and it's a great location in Kansas City, just minutes away from shops and other restaurants. Endless good choices.

I have stayed here a few times on business and unfortunately I have experienced issues every time. From clogged sinks, to broken toilets, to a dirty room. It’s also one of the few hotels that does not leave a bottle of water in the room for its guests. It might sound trivial, but after a long flight, a bottle of water is refreshing. The gym is disappointing, as is the bar and restaurant. You can walk across the street and get a better meal and drinks at Chaz, venture to Stock Hill, or across the river to the plaza for multiple options. The service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special, and there was no remorse from staff when I shared my concerns with the room.

I stayed overnight at the hotel for a work event and overall the hotel was nice. The rooms were updated but the AC didn't work so the room was warm. We ate in the restaurant one day for breakfast and it was very good. The other meals we had at the hotel were part of the meeting and the food was awful. They need to fix their banquet food menu.
