Clean and modern. Comfy rooms with no downside noted. Nice space throughout the room bathrooms as well. Solid KC location, where you're able to walk to numerous downtown neighborhoods. Eateries and breweries abound in the area.
Valet parking available if that's your thing.
As of the date of this review; there is an extensive, full-block construction project ongoing directly west of this hotel. I had a west facing room. Depending on your travel purpose and sleep patterns, remember that construction sites have early weekday starts.

We had reserved a block of rooms for our wedding-would not recommend for use for wedding. The hotel is nice and new but a little confusing with amenities. We thought we had complimentary breakfast but we didn't. You only have this if you stay on the extended stay side, also thought is was pet friendly and again only the extended stay side is. With a hectic wedding schedule having breakfast right there would have been so nice. The little cafe closes early so no option for food unless you get the valet (pay for that) and go somewhere. Melissa was helpful with getting our wedding guest bags to our guests. Us and our guests were disappointed with not having breakfast and the valet parking fee.

As I was staying at the courtyard for a convention at the city's convention center, the location was rather convenient. Between the hotel and the center is just 1 block and prehaps the best feature for city exploration is that at the top of the building on the side it has a large sign that makes it very easy to know what direction to head in from a distance of several blocks. The rooms have a spacious bathroom, a closet with a mirrored door, a television that allows you to access a handful of popular streaming sites and cable, a cabinet with a mini fridge and microwave, a desk/dresser, a bedside table, and yet more mirrors between the beds. Housekeeping for my room was a little after 9am. The front desk staff members are very pleasant and helpful. They gave me assistance when I left something in a room my group had checked out of. Overall the stay itself was very pleasant.

Hotel was great, rooms were clean but there were accidental charges for parking. The entire experience for paying for parking was a nightmare. The associate wasn't completely trained and we stood at the front desk for over 15 minutes before offering to pay cash to speed up the process. After that, we are still charged for parking on the card. If this incident didnt happen, I'd give this place 5 stars!

Maybe it's just me not having stayed at a Residence Inn before, but there is no room service here and I don't like that. Also, there is no hot tub. You are forced to pay $24/night for valet parking because the hotel doesn't have any parking lot or structure. So you have no choice but to use their valet service, yet it is so expensive.
My room was great though, and the hotel is clean & the staff is friendly. I really enjoy the breakfast area. It feels very comfortable, and the breakfast was decent. I know it's somewhat standard these days, but I can't stand pre-mixed egg mix scrambled eggs. That's what you get here. They may even be powdered, guessing from the texture. Other than that everything was nice for breakfast.
