The Fontaine

Great get-away! We spent the night here and enjoyed drinks by the pool, then a delicious dinner with a view at Parker at The Fontaine. All staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The room was great - loved the bathrobes. Would highly recommend!

Everything about my stay at The Fontaine was delightful. The location is great, with the Plaza outdoor shopping district nearby, abundant with high end shops and restaurants, and some beautiful landmarks like the Kauffman Gardens nearby. The staff was kind and accommodating, and my single King room was not only comfortable, but had all of the right amenities for my single night stay. I checked in and out with zero problems, and was well rested for my day-long professional engagement. Highly recommend it!

Very inconsistent experience. With the exception of Sam the bartender's remarkably good customer service, this hotel cannot even come close to competing with others on the Plaza. Although the property is very attractive and stylish, the staff and operations are mediocre at best. There's no excuse to not have towels for the pool on a Memorial Day weekend. Or not enough chairs for everyone at the pool -- and the staff not being empowered or enabled to meet those needs. When the coffee was out in the lobby, we inquired at the downstairs bar about getting refills and were rudely told by a staff member that she was busy. Had a similar experience by the pool when we asked someone for help. "Your server will be with you shortly," we were told .... no smile, no customer service. For the cost of the hotel, the experience is woefully lacking. Inconsistent. Amateur hour in terms of staffing and operations. Again, the only bright spot was the bartender Sam, who was obviously working double shifts because they were understaffed on a predictably busy holiday weekend. Not only were there no towels available at the pool, they were skimpy in the room, also. Very disappointing.

Big expense, little return. The room was dirty. There was a pubic hair on the window sill. When the maid cleaned the room, she took dirty towels and didn't replace. My family of 4 had to share 1 towel. The parking garage was a nightmare. The tollbooth didn't work the first night. We had to call to open the gate. Worked great the next day. Then didn't work again. When we called, they hung up. Called again, no answer. Called again, with a line forming behind us. They wouldn't just open the gate. They actually sent a security guard to see if we were telling the truth. Security guard verified it wasn't working, after a 10 minute wait, then called to open gate. They hung up on her. She called back, and finally we could go. We won't stay there again.

Great hotel. Very nice atmosphere and a comfortable stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. Everything you can want in a hotel. Don't expect things to be cheap though.
