Comfort Inn & Suites Overland Park - Kansas City South

Stayed here on an unexpected trip to Missouri and requested a Whirlpool tub so I could have a bath with Lush goodies. Got into the room, into the bath, dropped my bath bomb and bath oil in and went to turn on the jets but realized there were no dials so there was no way to turn the jets on. I enjoyed my bath as best I could while my husband went to inquire at the desk. He came back in and said we were being moved to a room on the 3rd floor with another Whirlpool tub. We packed up all our stuff and went to the third floor only to find that this new room was a standard room when we were paying for a suite. We lugged all our stuff back down to the desk where the young man seemed bothered that we were back. We explained the standard room was fine as long as they could discount our room fee (we were paying for a suite). Without a word, the attendant slid new room cards over to us. The room was marked 117 which was just next door to our original room. It was a suite with a Whirlpool that worked. It was clean. However, we had a lot to do the next day with family and would be out of the room. We put a do not disturb sign on the door and told the desk we did not want it cleaned as we were leaving all of our belongings in the room while we met with family. We came back very late that night, about 11 p.m. to find our room had been cleaned. Not only did they come in when we requested they didn't, they touched our belongings. My makeup had been placed back in my makeup bag on the bathroom counter, our clothes had been moved off the bed for it to be made, and our laptops had been moved so a coffee table could be cleaned. I was not impressed and uncomfortable that someone had entered without our permission, when we specifically asked that they skip the normal cleaning as we had valuables in the room (laptops, my purse, etc.). Nothing was missing but it was still uncomfortable. We asked the front and again were met with blank stares. This hotel is fine. Breakfast is standard. Rooms were fine and clean. But do not expect good customer service as you likely will not get it. And don't leave anything in the room you don't want touched.

Im consistently pleased with Comfort Inns but Comfort Inn & Suites in Overland Park was a little extra. Great sized non-smoking room with double queens, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Plush Mattresses, comfy pillows & extra clean bathroom makes you feel at home. Nice quiet stay and we'll definitely be back when passing through. Made to order omelettes were also a nice touch. Had a great stay.

Stayed one night with my husband after visiting some family in the area. You can tell they have worked hard to modernize the hotel, as the lobby is open with lots of casual seating. There is an open area for breakfast alongside a second room for made-to-order omelettes (!). I didn't sleep well in the bed, but it was a nice, quiet, and clean room (other than the long hairs which remained in the shower from the last guest). We will be sure to remember this place if we're in the area again!

Rooms are very nice. The maintenance guy was very helpful when I needed help squishing down my suitcase to zip it up. The lady at the front desk was also super helpful when I needed to print out some paperwork. A different guy at the front was beyond nice and gave me 3 cups full of milk when I was craving cereal pretty late in the afternoon. The breakfast is pretty good. There were plenty of options and made to order omelettes. The lady making the omelettes was actually very nice too and helpful. The entire staff here is great. Housekeeping even folded the toilet paper into a cute little rose. They cleaned our room very well by the time we came back in the afternoon. The location is good as well because it's within walking distance/ a short drive away from a lot of cool places.

For a hotel in it's class (amount of stars) it is splendid. There is a pool, free continental breakfast, and the room was very clean. The beds were perfect without any problems. Free drinks for the guest and several places to go nearby for food, shopping, and many other things to do and see.
