Extended Stay America Kansas City - South

Terrible, horrible, disastrous. I had clothes, electronics, and personal belongings STOLEN from my room while I was at work. When I first checked in, I was scammed into paying more than I originally planned and schemed into paying for a king bed under the impression it was the only room available. When I had originally paid for a queen for $16 less every night of my 3 night stay. Only good thing I have to say is Ali and Kayleen who were working at the front desk at the time I came back were an amazing help to try and fix things for me. They were very personable and empathetic to my needs. Other than that my stay was complete bull****. 2 out of 3 lamps did not work. TV did not work. Light above stove did not work. Was stuck just with my laptop which then in turn my headphones were stolen by housekeeping. They kept comping a night here a night there and I had to haggle them to not charge me anything. Worst experience of my life. I will never stay at an extended stay again.

The pros: spacious room more than a motel with full sized fridge, sink, counter space and 2 burner but no oven. Good location. Close to highway, good neighborhood. The walls are thick! I don't hear my neighbors! The cops: poorly maintained rooms, stained bedding & carpet, funky smell through out facility. Counters, drawers, microwave & fridge needed cleaning. Staff is not very accomadating. I've been here 10 days and asked for dishes on day 1. Trey said he had to wash some & he would bring them to me. He never did. Again I asked for dishes & the lady gave me a dish drainer 2 butter knives, 1 plate & 4 disposable cups. She said she would look for more & bring them to me but never did. Crappy breakfast! Coffee & a bowl of various breakfast bars & maybe some fruit & packets of oatmeal.

I stayed here for 8 weeks on a business trip. Compact but the studio apartment has all the required utilities. Ample parking space is available. In winters this area can get low temperature as - 10°C. Bus stop is nearby at walking distance. A church is also nearby. For food joint you can go to nearby Burger King.

Spacious room with kitchenette (full size freezer/fridge, microwave..NO stove top or oven)..GREAT DEAL THROUGH PRICELINE APP😉

This was the worst hotel my Fiancé and I have ever stayed at. First they put us into a room that already had someone occupied in it. We didn’t find this out until we walked out of the room and ran into the person who checked into the room an hour before. After this my fiancé and I switched rooms, and after being there for awhile we realize, the toilet doesn’t flush. So again we go to the front desk, where the lady working is too busy talking to help us. She ends up “helping” us, by rolling her eyes and saying she doesn’t know what to do. She was high and couldn’t keep her eyes open to even hold a conversation. Frustrated, my fiancé and I go to bed wake up the next working for breakfast. And their “free breakfast” is the coffee bar. This hotel was terrible and unprofessional, do not stay at this hotel.
