Things started put rocky initially because we weren't greeted by anyone on the front, we went around looking for an employee. But after that, our waitress was amazing! I forgot her name, but she was a very tall female with blondish brown hair, loved her! It was our first time there and she was amazingly helpful with the menu. The oysters, steak and salad tasted amazing. It was the first steak I've ever had at a high end restaurant that WASN'T chewy!! We ordered the NY style cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert. The cheese cake was a bit too sweet for me, but my fiance loved the chocolate cake. Really glad we decided to stop by here during our weekend stay in DC.
First time visiting for a friends birthday..Was absolutely amazing. Reggie and the staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very personable. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Upscale dining with an old world vibe, but not stuffy and pretentious. Reggie and a staff member sang to my friend for her birthday and they were wonderful..
Nice place and decor but ridiculous prices. Clearly people are being ripped off here? 60$ for a piece of steak with no sides? Sorry but it felt like daylight robbery. I think people are just paying for the name and don’t care about the food quality.
Fantastic steakhouse with great service. The Palm totally holds up to its reputation. Highly recommend!
Excellent meal. The moment we entered, we were greeted promptly by the Maître D and acknowledged that it was for a special occasion. We were given a wonderful table and the Caricatures of the past Presidents were fun to look at and made for some nice Photo Ops while waiting for cocktails. Reggie our server was spot on with suggestions and very prompt and attentive throughout the meal. The Palm Margarita and Old Fashion were perfect. My daughter said the Bone Marrow Onion Soup, which is something I wouldn't have thought to order was amazing and she can't wait to go back for more. Great Shrimp Cocktail and Hash browns too. The Prime Rib, which isn't always on the menu I think only on Weekends was great and a portion way too large to finish, so it went home for the next day. Everyone at DC Palm was wonderful and I wish I could acknowledge everyone by name as they all made for a memorable dining experience.
A very good experience for large groups or groups of just two. I enjoyed the chicken Parm while others in our party dined on the steak. The drinks are superb and the servers have a customer service. The seven layer chocolate cake is decadent. The portions are large. I took home the remaining portions of my meal. Reservations are strongly encouraged as the location fills quickly.
The Hubby took me here for my birthday dinner a few weeks ago. I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The food, ughhh so delicious!!!Recommended dishesTomahawk Steak
Delicious meal for National Spouses Night and quite a value -- including beef tenderloin, appetizers, sides and a dessert, at $99 per couple! We were seated in a beautiful private room and had not even requested one! The bar area is like an English drawing room with dark oak and warm accents. We will be going back!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant. The walls are filled with cartoon sketches of notable people. I would not recommend the seafood dishes, we had the calamari and lobster bisque, they were subpar. We sent back the calamari and the lobster bisque was barely warm. Raisin bread was phonmenal. The steak was excellent mashed potato and asparagus accompanied it well.
Fabulous upscale dining. Service is over the top. Highly recommended. Chicken parm is huge!
