Great place for the kids to go. Little disappointed as their web site was not updated as there is no warming hut. And out of some of their drinks as they did project correctly what they needed. $8.00 skating and $3.00 rental not bad. But if your not providing everything then you shouldn't be charging full price.
Such a fun time! Skating was perfect, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Covid safe! so glad we found this place.
Great place for ice skating. Love the location. A little pricey $11 for admissions and skates as compared to the arena but the location makes up for it. The skates were really nice high quality ones and the blades were sharp so it made skating fun. The ice was rough when we got there at 830pm and they closed at 10pm, and was a little tough to skate on but it was still a fun experience. The place had a fire pit and nice big warming yurts. They also had trailers for bathrooms which was nice.
So much fun! We went for the first time towards the end of the season. I am looking foreward to purchasing a family season pass for next year. Everyone had a great time. For the little kids and those uneasy on skates, they have assistance rentals which made it fantastic to take my 5 year old aroubd the rink. The snack stand is nice to grab a treat too. The bar side has some nice local brews on tap. I fell in love with the Bissell brothers ipa. Overall a great time for the whole family.
It’s a lot of fun here. The rink is small, which is fine unless there is a ton of people. Nice choice of reasonably priced snacks along with beer and wine, so that’s awesome. Is it perfect? No, but it’s outdoor skating in Maine so it’s damn close.
Nice spot, great price! You have a great view, a little fire and a place to get beers! Also you pay once and can spend as much time as you want! A bit rustic but good place
The rink ice was soft and not well maintained, and it was overcrowded. The concession line was so long waited a 1/2 hour in line, and not worth the wait for the fast food items. The bathrooms which are portable toilets are filthy, and not equipped with hand sanitizer there are dispensers but they were empty. There are two fire pits, one which accommodates three people an extra small Solo pit, and the other was more of a smoker than a fire pit as it was filled with wet wood.
I'm 50 and haven't skated in 35 years and was never good at it, but I had been wanting to try again. Everyone I have encountered there has been very helpful. I had a my skates sharpened for $7, if you rent skates it will cost you $3, it costs $8 to skate, they also have skate aids for rent. The rink is sponsored by LL Bean,on Wed night it is $4 to skate. It' s never that busy when I am there, and the rink is not huge, but we'll kept. They have a concession stand with hot drinks and snacks right by a fire pit. Beware of frozen spots on the rubber mats walking around. No indoor bathrooms, only porta potties for facilities. Plenty of parking and lots of fun.
First time here today. First time skating with the kids ages 6 & 7, everyone loved it, had such a great time. Were here for over 2 hours and we had to peel the kids off the ice, didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back. The skate aides are so helpful, the side rink for the learners is a genius added touch. Despite being a holiday weekend, surprised at how crowded it wasn't !!. Can't wait to return, maybe just the adults this time and take full advantage of the yurt.
Staff is so friendly and 7$ on Thursday for students with skates included is such a steal! Must go at night for the nice lights
