The UPS Store

I went to the UPS store in Auburn, MA last Monday afternoon. I needed to return some books I had rented on Amazon and was totally unprepared since I had never shipped anything before. Joni (or Jodi? -- I believe she said her name was Joni) was SOOOOO helpful and friendly; she told me what I needed to do to get my box shipped, let me use the store's computer to retrieve my labels, and packed my box up for me. She was so patient and helpful and seriously relieved my anxiety. I went in feeling worrisome and left satisfied and confident that my box would be shipped properly. Thanks for your help, Joni! :)

Made an appointment for Noon on Saturday. Showed up at the appointed time and the attendant had did not have a clue. She said that the store is just a franchise and they could only give me an estimate of what my merchandise would cost to ship. I asked for the estimate and then she said she could not do that. She suggested I go to the UPS center in Shrewsbury or use DHL to ship my package. Really lousy customer service. Will have to go to a different shipper from now on.

Excellent help from cashier clerk Anastasia N., had to rush something in mail to Nantucket and she was helpful and informative. I was surprised how much it cost for next day and 2 day delivery and the fact that it only gave those 2 options to send. However, the mail I sent had a due date and it will be there in due time. Good experience over all!

Rushed out here as we live 40 minutes away to drop off an already paid for package to be sent. Useless since they closed and locked the doors at 6:20!

I wanted to send my guitar and case to my niece. This store told me UPS will not ship anything not in a box. The boxes and packing material cost $50. I called UPS CORPORATE and they told me the store lied to us about the packaging and the guitar in the case could be shipped out as is. DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE. THEY LIE TO MAKE MONEY OFF PEOPLE.
