Story

We are the Schnipper Bros. and are proud to have been serving New Yorkers for over a quarter of a century. We offer really awesome burgers, chicken fingers, and sandwiches (plus some exciting vegetarian options, too) along with our favorite side dishes made fresh all day right here in this restaurant. Yes, we have fries--yummy, crispy waffle fries to be exact--and we offer a range of market sides that we love to eat with our sandwiches and think you will too. We serve only super high quality beef and chicken. Our beef is sourced from Creekstone Farms and our chicken is ABF all natural and humanely raised cage free. We exclusively use chicken tenders (the filet mignon of chicken). We think it's the juiciest and most tender part of the chicken breast. Come visit us in FiDi, next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and we also deliver.

We love this spot! You can immediately taste the difference in their fresh ingredients- it makes a huge difference during the meal and after. Nothing is overly greasy like other "fast food" spots and we couldn't stop talking about it. The menu has a wide variety of choices which made it difficult to decide what we wanted but we definitely don't regret our order! The chicken is crispy, juicy and really fresh, the fries are amazing and the atmosphere was clean and lively! The staff is really helpful and willing to accommodate your needs. We can't wait to go back here- it's definitely a hidden gem in the Financial District.
I went at the peak of lunch at 1pm, and though it was crowded, Shae the manager and her crew kept the line moving quickly. I ordered a Cremini Mushroom Burger, corn salad, pasta salad, and waffle fries. The burger was juicy and cooked Medium, as requested. There was a very nice amount of mushrooms and truffle aioli. The waffle fries were hot and crispy, and the macaroni salad was good. The absolute star was the corn salad, though. Each fresh, crunchy, sweet, charred kernal was covered in a delicious spicy seasoning. This will be my Go-To side dish on every visit from now on! It
Thunder Bun is a great spot for a quick bite! They have a big variety of burgers and sandwiches. I got the waffle fry parmesan sandwich and the classic “Schnipp” burger as it’s a sister restaurant to Schnipper’s. There are lots of tasty sides, too! I really enjoyed my meal there; it’s a great add to the neighborhood.
A great spot for lunch in FiDi. Satisfy your burger cravings here while avoiding breaking the bank. They have a wide selection of beef, chicken, and veggie burgers. Also have a good selection of sides such as waffles fries and Mexican corn. Def looking forward to having more lunches here. Went back and tried more of their burgers and sandwiches, the sweet Heat is really good
Great for a casual, fun, and fast Financial District lunch. The Chicken Schnipp and Thunder bun were both delicious and hot. And love any spot that offers waffle fries!!
Very good burger at a great price and in a fab location for a bite before or after the Staten Island Ferry. Burgers, chicken sandwiches and veggie sandwiches available with a choice of sides and dipping sauces, service with a smile too thanks
Great food! Very affordable especially if you are on a budget. Any sandwich $5.50, add a side $8, add 2 sides $10. You can't go wrong here. I got might favorite The Grilled Angeleno. Grilled chicken, smashed avocado, plum tomatoes, pickled red onions and brown mustard relish with waffle fries. You can substitute the grilled chicken for fried if you like. They also have roasted sweet potato wedges..Amazing! Veggie options are available as well.
Good selection of burgers and chicken sandwiches, as well as vegetarian options. They also have a good selection of sides besides the classic waffle fries and onion rings, adding options like broccoli and Mexican corn. I’d suggest you try the classic cheeseburger aka the schnipps, and give the chicken sandwiches a go, as I’m sure there’s at least one that will suit anyone’s palate. If you’re a fan of buffalo wings and blue cheese, do try their chicken sandwich version, it’s pretty good! If you’re in the area and you’re looking for a decent place where you won’t spend a fortune Thunder Bun Schnippers lil brother might be what you’re looking for!
Yum. Burgers perfect for lunch while I am at work. Only 6 bucks
Hot & fresh burgers and fries. For the quality and price skip the chaos at Shake Shack and come here for a better burger.
