Dr Yu. I had a stroke last year (May 9th) and my primary care physician is here and she has been on top of things. She has been great with my recovery and making sure my a1c is where it's supposed to be. I would recommend to friends and family

I have spinal surgery in a few days at the Mayo Clinic so I needed to get a new Primary Care Physician who will write my regular prescriptions and see me for routine things here in AZ (just came down here from Washington State). So, I called this clinic and scheduled a new patient appointment with this clinic more than 2 WEEKS ago. Yesterday (day of my appt) I try to check in 30 minutes early, as required, and they tell me "The doctor will not see you today, because your medical card (I have Cigna gold PPO) does not have our doctor's name printed on it as being your PCP." Of course I told them that 1) This new patient appt is when a potential new patient decides whether this specific doctor is someone they can trust and feel comfortable with, and 2) I am not required to have a PCP for my plan, because it is a PPO. Yet the DESK CLERKS refused to listen to me, believe me, or even attempt to call Cigna to verify what I said was true or not. So, I go outside and call Cigna myself, explain the situation and the representative says she will be more than happy to explain how medical benefits work to the desk clerk who refused to listen to me (even though I'M the one who has been using my medical benefits all this time, not them). After the Cigna rep talks to the stubbornly ignorant desk clerk, I attempt to continue checking in for my appointment - only to have them tell me "oh, your appointment slot was cancelled and someone else already took that appointment slot." Of course, now I'm not just angry, I'm actually stunned by how inept, ignorant, rude, dishonest and clueless the medical staff are at this clinic.Obviously, some random new patient didn't suddenly pop up out of nowhere and coincidentally grab my newly cancelled appointment, which means the staff at this clinic are blatantly lying to patients. DO NOT COME TO THIS CLINIC, THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW MEDICAL INSURANCE WORKS.It was a complete waste of time and now I will have to go into spinal surgery without my daily necessary meds (one of which is for my heart). DO NOT COME TO THIS CLINIC
