1/17/23: I went to the bookstore on 1/16 after work on MLK day at 4:30 pm, online it said it was open for holiday hours until 5. The door was shut on me and I was told it was closed and it’s supposed to close at 4:30 despite what it said online. The guy was completely unwilling to help or acknowledge the time it was stated to be open online. Response to comment from bookstore: when you google Tivoli bookstore the information on hours that comes up is what I referred to. Which is current, because for instance today 1/18 it is closed due to the weather so it stays up to date. Check it for yourself, the hours are different for the rest for the week as well, closing later than 4:30. On Monday it clearly stated it was open for Holiday hours from 8-5 pm.
This historic building has a soul. I used to go there every day when I was a student at the University of Colorado. The environment inside is very comfortable.
Chezra Delayine is the absolute worst store manager possible. You can’t even get a respectful answer from her when you call about a book you ordered in July which then gets here supposedly yesterday august 28th and is $88 more then you were charged so when it’s processed in another day I will have to pay $88 more then planned and now I’m going to have it just in the time for the third week of class. It’s crazy how she said the book may have just passed by them on the shelf and proceeded to be extremely rude about it. If she didn’t want to come to work treating customers with respect why did she come to work at all?
Cool place and it has a brewery, but its not a must see part of Denver.
Pretty crazy that online orders take longer than going in store. Then sent 3 different places to get my book and each time the next person telling me they can’t help me, even though I was just told by another employee they could. If you’re forced to go here, just pick up in store, the online order employees don’t know how it’s supposed to work. Which I’m sure helps the spread of Covid a ton
There are places to eat but only during the day. We're trying to attract people but our campus has only 5% of it students back. Once we open up to more students we will see a big difference. Cafe's and shops will be open for business as well as students shuffling from one building to another. The Bookstore is the hot spot for quick, needed items at the last minute.
Can be fun to explore the building and its history.
Sweet place that has some awesome history! Great place to chill for a beer after class, or before for that matter. Gets busy , but also a good place to catch a study break when space is available. Parking is kinda expensive, so I'd recommend other means of transportation. Not too far from downtown if you're visiting.
There's a lot of great food options and services in here for students. I like the dining options, but it would be nice if there were maybe one or two more. It gets so busy during lunch that the lines take quite a while to get through and sucks if you're in a hurry. Other than that, the only complaint I have is that the wifi here is so, so bad, especially in the basement area where the food court is. Makes it very hard to do homework or anything else, really. It's kind of a persistent theme on this campus, unfortunately.
Great area, not the best food but I'd recommend the pizza place
