U-Haul Moving & Storage of Murfreesboro

I have never taken the time to leave a negative review before. However, our experince with this Uhaul location today has left me feeling upset and unable to stop thinking about it. We were told on a Saturday morning that there were no trucks of any kind available at either location near us in Murfreesboro until Monday afternoon at the earliest. Less than 8 hours later they had a full parking lot and a ton of listings for available trucks, so we reserved one for the following morning. It started out as a pleasant experience, but went very sour at returning the truck. We were given the truck at 3/4 tank. We filled it back up to that mark. Upon inspection the man that spoke with my mother told her that he was the owner and that the paper had the fuel level marked as full tank, so she needed to either go fill it up all the way or be charged a fee. She told him that we got it at that level and that’s why we refilled it to that level. He basically told her to shove it and choose one of those two options. Maybe the fee itself wasn’t huge, but the disrespect was. Especially considering my mother is a kind soul and though she was wronged, but did not wish to deal with the stress. And if they are charging every person that fee... that’s a lot of money going into someone’s pocket that doesn’t deserve it. And to me, that’s theft. It seems to be a fairly common occurrence with his location, so make sure you get written documentation of where the tank is and double check it before leaving the premises.

Very professional and personal help use solve a problem with a boat jack. And they even communicated with each other about how to use the phone.

The lady with red hair and glasses was very rude she’s the lady in the pictures on the page and they tried to say I owed them $135 and I had never rented from them. You have to be kidding. So she says I refuse to rent to you, like really? I go to another location and they said they get a lot of customers that come from there saying she’s rude! Go to the dentist and get them teeth fixed and maybe your attitude will be better then!!

Was charged a $25. cleaning fee. Even after I was told by manager that homeless people sleep in the back of trucks and leave them dirty. I returned the truck in 2 hrs with twice the fuel I picked it up with and only used 11 miles of the 25 miles I paid for but, want to say I returned it dirty. Bill, the manager was rude and said he wasn't going to do anything and I could call 1800UHaul. Then hung up on me. I will never use or recommend U Haul to any business or friend.

Review is for a hitch install. I made the reservation online and pre-paid for the hardware. I arrived a few minutes after my scheduled time and ~45 minutes later I received a text message that the car is ready. Everything was smooth and I had no issues. Thanks Travis!
