If I could give zero stars, I would. My wife and I went in to pick up my scheduled 7a.m. rental on Saturday morning (5/5/18). When I arrived, the  man behind the counter didn't even acknowledge that we were even there (we were the only other ones in the very dirty, unkempt room).  He piddled around with something for a couple of minutes while sitting in his chair. He then got up, opened up his money bag and started filling the register, still not acknowledging that we were there (we were standing right in front of him). After filling the register, he started the rental process by suddenly asking my name and other information. He started bashing on the keyboard when he was having some issues with the computer being slow. When we got down to the credit card info, he was starting to put in the card number and then an older man from the shop next door came in and up to the counter.  The older man told the  guy on the computer to stop what he was doing right now, and get something for him. I'm not sure what he asked for, but I think it had something to do with the propane sales that they do. The man at the computer then blew a gasket. He started cursing at the old man and violently throwing things off of the counter into the floor. When he went outside to the the back apparently looking for something, I had my wife go out in get in our car as I was starting to get a bit worried. He came back in and started the cursing and throwing things again. I picked up my credit card off of the counter before he threw it and then I stepped outside to check on my wife. She was already on the phone setting up a Penske  rental from Home Depot (Yay for the wife!). I went back inside and told the guy to forget about it and cancel everything. Also during all of this, I saw what appeared to be virus warning pop-ups on the computer, but I am not exactly sure that is what I saw. Thank goodness he never entered my full card number before being interrupted, but he did have my driver's license number.
I contacted U-Haul customer service shortly after, a report of the incident was submitted, and they made sure that all of my information did not remain in the system. U-Haul  told me that the owner of the  location will contact me about the incident. We shall see.

Our rental was early to mid March--I reserved 2 of the 26' Uhauls (over the phone). Come to find out our reservation was made for the wrong month-we showed up and they did not have us down for a reservation! BUT The wonderful and kind, professional gentleman behind the counter (I believe he said he was the owner-forgive me for fogetting his name) took care of quickly! Such a sigh of relief. Would use them again if we were going to move (never moving again!).  I believe his initials from his signature are A.S. Great friendly service with a smile!

So my wife called in a reservation for a small truck with a ramp to move a piano.  I showed up and was asked by the girl if I was coming to Knoxville, I said yes.  That's me.  She took my card info and another man walked in and asked for a truck.  She then cancelled out my transaction and wrote my card info down,stating that her pc had crashed. I asked the rate, she did not know.  I asked about insurance, she said they would apply it the next day when she ran the card (?!?) she grabbed a few keys handed them to me and said "one of these should work, by the way the trucks are dirty and I haven't filled them up with gas cuz I didn't have the time.  Sorry hun" (the truck was filthy, I threw out a large pair of panties and a bunch of cigarette butts).  As i drove away I realized, I had not been asked for a phone number or to sign a contract of any kind. I called my cc company and cancelled my card, (the lady seemed a bit sketch).  Fast forward to the next morning.  My wife received a wake up call from Corporate asking why we never picked up our rental???  I explained the events of the previous day, needless to say, he was a bit surprised.  He then asked for all of my info and a card to pay.  I asked him if he even knew the truck number,  to which he said no. When he called, he had no clue we even had a truck out. Needless to say I disagreed with paying even one red cent for the rental that they were unaware of. On my way to drop off the truck, I was digging around making sure I had everything I came with, and lo and behold, what was under the seat?  A chunk of what appeared to be marijuana.  So I threw that out and allowed my mind to wonder just what would have happened if I had had an accident or been pulled over. Worst rental ever. Seriously, just the worst.
