I went to the urgent care after having a panic attack. When asked if I was pregnant, I said no. Shortly after, my blood was drawn. The nurse had me tested to see if I was pregnant. I was never asked for consent nor did I sign any forms giving it. This hospital made me feel violated. This experience taught me in the future, to explicitly state that no tests without my prior authorization and consent can be performed. Last i checked, it's my blood, not the hospitals to test for a condition or disease without my consent.
I understand that they are there to help people. However that is no right to to openly deceive a patient. It's unfortunate this hospital chooses to run this way.

My mom is on the oncology floor and has been for a week. The doctors and nurses have been wonderful which is why there are 2 stars instead of 1. I have walked past SEVERAL people who work at the hospital and NO ONE told us anything about my daughter not being allowed to be there because she’s 9 months old. Normally I wouldn’t bring her but considering that my mom is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer I wanted to give her time to see her grand daughter. However a lady, I wish I would have gotten her name, very rudely told us we needed to leave because of our daughter. We have seen kids running up and down the halls screaming and playing everyday we have been there and nobody forced them to leave. My daughter was quietly playing on her blanket in the family lounge. She was actually making the other patients and their families smile. But now I can’t be with my dying mother because 1 person on a power trip decided that my family wasn’t allowed to be together during this difficult time.

No sleep. They put patients with significant needs with patients who don’t. Moved rooms in middle of night multiple times as result of roommates having emergency situations.
I came here as part of centralizing care within a system. Won’t come here again or follow up in their clinics. BAD DELIVERY MODEL. MANAGEMENT IS ASLEEP AT SWITCH FOR NOT RECOGNIZING.

Friendly ,knowledgeable staff.nursing and doctors. Any
Delays were reasonable .it is a complex process involving many disciplines and the communication between teams seems good although improvements can always be made.
Food service was good, easy to use. Food itself is probably a step ahead of similar operations.
Thanks to all for their help during my stay.

I was hoping for a better experience this 2nd time coming to the U of M Medical. 1st time my husband and I was here, we were there to see a neurologist. But that doctor didn't care to look at my husband's profile. Instead, he took out a scrap paper and made us explain everything as to why we were there. He made my husband draw swirls and forced him to try and run. His final conclusion was "everything you're going thru is all in your mind. Just get some pain meds for the pain." And he just sent us off! He didn't do anything to really help us. He didn't truly evaluation my husband. Because of that doctor's note, the Mayo clinic turned us down.
My recent visit was yesterday. I went to check in, ONLY to find out that SOMEONE CANCELLED my appointment and didn't even bother to notify me! I wasted my time driving all the way there and wasted money for parking!
I wish I never chose this place to go with for my transplant evaluations. I highly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.
