University of Mississippi Medical Center Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation

Referral was received over a week ago. They have the information because the call desk clerk was able to ID my problem, related to my referral, when looking for my account. They have yet to make an appointment. I have never had such prolonged issues with a referral before. I just want to see a/my doctor!!

Best experience ever. My elderly mother has had multiple fractures including a broken arm at the elbow and 2 broken hips. We have used almost every orthopedic group in Jackson from Ms Sports Med to Capital Orthopedics. The doctors and surgeons at UMMC that performed her most recent hip surgery and aftercare were the best we have EVER used. We moved all of her care to pavilion doctors. I have more confidence in them than I have had in any doctors over the last 10 years. The 5th floor orthopedic nurses are amazing. She received stellar care for her latest orthopedic disaster and we were in the middle of the pandemic.

If you have a serious injury you might as well find somewhere else to go. I got a referral here from an urgent care clinic for a fractured wrist, and it took over two weeks for them to schedule an appointment. They'll tell you they haven't received your medical records when in reality they've had them for days and just won't take 5 minutes to look for them.

They let the ER send me home with a wire and pins they installed that FAILED and were sticking out my leg with no pain meds. Worst doctors ever! Do not go here if you want humane care! As we speak I am waiting to hear back from a lawyer.
