Amazing place, with displays & activities geared toward kids but just as interesting for this 70-year old. Really enjoyed the local fossil history which I'd heard of but hadn't realized the richness of. I'd have paid more (and did in the jar) for this experience.

This museum has a lot of interesting artifacts unfortunately it is not currated well. Many of the displays were very dusty and looked dated. The magnificent animals that are displayed are looking hagard against the faded dioramas. The whole thing seemed like a very old museum that had seen it's glory days and was waiting for some new life to be pumped in. It made me sad.

Would absolutely recommend, my younger boys were absolutely excited about seeing fossils and dinosaurs found in areas they live and have seen.

Went with grandkids, a good learning experience for all. And Grandpa got to look like he actually knew something! Priceless!
