I wish I could put 0 stars. I have had constant problems with a shipment I had attempted to have delivered to my address in Maryland, and for some reason no one could tell me why the package was redirected to a Norfolk address that I do not live at. I have probably spent 10 hours on the phone with 800-PICK-UPS, and all they can tell me is that they sent a message to this customer center to have the package redirected. I've probably done this 13 or 14 times. Every time, they promise that I'll receive a call back from this center confirming the address change so it gets re-redirected to the proper address. I have never received that phone call. Instead, UPS keeps attempting to deliver the package to an address that I do not live at. I even drove myself to this center and attempted to pick up the package in person again, I live in Maryland. The employee just basically told me there was nothing they could do. Now, it seems that the delivery was rejected, and my $250 worth of merchandise might be heading back to sender, leaving me without my stuff, $250 poorer, and 10 hours wasted. They keep promising me they'll fix the address and get it rerouted. I definitely don't believe that at this point. I don't know if its incompetence or willful malice, all I do know is that I will be using FedEx next time.
The lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful! This review has nothing to do with that, it’s ups at a whole… I had been trying to track my package for over 4 days and finally found out the location of the package, or so I thought. When I got there and explained my situation I was told that the location was robbed over the weekend and all the electronic devices were stolen. My package new cell phone being one of those packages. As far as I know they didn’t file a report or report the items as lost or stolen. My package STILL says “delivery details will be updated when available” and when I had called the UPS tech support they said my package was damaged and needed to be rewrapped which was not the truth. I have spent numerous hours on the phone with my phone company trying to get to a solution since it was stolen before it was in my possession. I really expected a huge shipping company like UPS to properly report these types of incidents and file claims but they failed to do so.
Don’t let the open gate deter you. The customer center is right on the corner of the distribution building. Super easy transaction with great customer service. Will come back here from now on. Bonus that it’s connected to the DC, so there’s little room for lost packages.
UPS the 1st delivery attempt was Tuesday @1:30 I was home all day and took off work to be able to sign for the package. No one knocked or rang the doorbell. The second delivery attempt was on Wednesday around 3 I had to go to work so I signed the slip they left for them to leave the package and no one did. Thursday was the last delivery attempt and I had already called and explained I have to work a double shift and they stated the could send the package to the UPS store closest to me to pick up Friday. I called the UPS store in Gainsborough square and now was being told they don’t do that and I would have to go to the customer center to get my package that they can only hold for 5days. This is terrible customer service. If the person did there job and just knocked/rang the bell everything would have been fine
Was able to pick up my package here after I missed the delivery driver. The office is closed except for a 30 minute window to pick up the packages. We were waiting in line and the office did not open on time it was more than 10 mins late.
Such a pleasant experience UPS Customer Center in Virginia Beach even when the outcome was less than desirable. The two women at the front desk were so helpful and kind, even with my two rambunctious boys running amuck in their lobby. I hate that I didn't catch their names. Hopefully, I can come back later and personally thank them for all the information provided and the trouble they went through for me. Unfortunately, my package was lost at a distribution center in Maryland. Great customer service all the same and thanks for all the help ladies. I really do appreciate it.

I had an Amazon order shipped through UPS that was needed today. I waited and watched the UPS truck park across from my building. Man never leaving out of his truck then drove off out of my neighborhood, I then received a notification telling me that delivery was attempted & unsuccessful. I called the help line, spoke with a representative who put in a request to have the man deliver today, the customer center was to call me today so that I can have my delivery. I received no call, nor delivery. He didn't as much so leave his vehicle to place a delivery attempted notice on my door.

There’s a reason they don’t provide a direct number as I’m sure they would be inundated with complaint calls. They have several drivers we have had experience with that are absolutely the most incompetent and rudest people on earth. With no feedback loop for customers to use this company obviously does not care about the quality these drivers fail to provide.
