I spent for 45mins here with nothing because the person this post office was lazy, rude and irresponsible. I need to send the package to Canada. The first time the woman said my packaging was wrong. So I made new package after purchasing the new wrapping and I went to her again. They said by weight it will be minimum $22. Even it took so long, because she said I can not send my package, she can not offer me the price. So she let me take off the package and put her cellphone, earbuds, staplers on the scale. So I said “Now I may not send my package, so you can just give me the price with my package.” She made it and gave me the minimum price $22. It takes about 30mins. Gosh! But still I can not send it because this post office they do not have the international package custom form. Another woman told me they have out of the form, so you need to go online to make it or go to other post office. I waste my time with nothing here 45mins. So I ask to let me have the direct link. Left side woman told me that “You do not know CUSTOM spelling?” Hey.. Are you kidding me? Due to your horrible behavior, terribly rude attitude and brainless procession, I spent almost an hour with nothing with only arguing. Will you pay for my time with your stupid and lazy work? So I went to work with package again. Nothing I did and spent worthless time. I reminded my experience. It is not the first time. It is getting worse!!! Maybe you need to close this post office or to switch people seriously. Bad memories maker!!!
Horrible nasty attitude. Lady tried to disregard us in line over a mask. If you don’t have a mask required sign, don’t give me attitude saying it’s required for you. Gave her the same attitude back. Not one of them that you bully. $10 an hour making loud mouth. Her coworker next to her wasn’t even wearing a mask so how’s someone over the counter with the glass covering an issue. A Fat bacon cornball. Bully your mother, not me
The clerk was super rude and condescending. After waiting in line for 45 minutes she got mad at me for asking some questions about registered mail. I had a strong feeling that she would've damaged my package intentionally, so I just left. Do yourself a favor and don't come to this post office. I'll start going to midtown for my usps needs which I hope there aren't many.
Can one even review a post office in which no one shows up?? Lately this post office is closed, seemingly on a whim, but probably because the PO workers either are not available or don't want to come in, for at least two days a week. The USPS should make this a functioning P.O. or close it. Currently you have to go down to W. 104th to Cathedral Station, but if you do avoid Window 9 or you will have abuse heaped upon you from the moment you deal with that postal clerk!!! Shameful.
Mailed a flat rate small Priority box. Very helpful clerks. This is the postal office by Columbia U campus on West 112th Street.
I assumed all the bad reviews were just because this is a post office. I should have read that the employees are what make this place a pain. When I asked Tina for two envelopes, she told me she did not have envelopes. Eventually she found two of them, bigger than what I needed and one of them torn. I ended up taking it, because I was in a rush. While she processed my letters she talked very disrespectfully about the customer before me, which only makes me wonder what they said about me once I left.
Stood in line for 30 minutes for rude and inefficient service, and the clerk refused to accept my small envelope because I was missing a piece of tape on one side of the label. Weird power play that just wasted my time and made me feel bad. Don't go here
Said 3 days will arrive and it took more than 14 days to arrive. Horrible. Can't you just give a precise mailing date. I would have chosen normal shipping.
This mail office was supposed to open at 9 am. There were about 20 people waiting for service till 9:40, while officers were sitting and talking on their phones.
Worst post office experience I've ever had. And I do a lot of mailing I'm a small business owner!. This morning, I rolled in my big load of prepaid packages on my manual scooter not even electric, was using it as a push cart for my packages, not to ride, and was instantly yelled at by the lady working the desk, who had a line of about 20 people and instead decided to use her time to yell at me when I was just trying to be efficient and out of the way. All I had to do was drop off these packages, so I continued to unload my bag because it was only going to take 30 seconds and then I and my scooter could leave. But she continued to yell at me. So I folded up my scooter and held it in my arm and went to finish unloading my packages into the bin. She then noticed that my flat rate envelopes were a little big and told me they wouldn't take them, and that I couldn't stand at the drop off location because I was blocking people which I wasn't, she was the one holding up the main line at which point I went outside to get a breath of fresh air and lock up my scooter and re-tape my packages so they would allow them. I finally gathered my frustrated self to go back inside and drop the remaining packages I had off. At this point, she was helping someone who was obviously in a rush but again, stopped what she was doing to tell me that I could not do what I was doing. She told me that I couldn't mail flat rate envelopes that weren't perfectly flat, which is completely untrue as I have mailed THOUSANDS of packages in that form in those same flat rate envelopes. I was just going to leave but she threatened to send them all back to my return address if I left them. I then loaded all of my packages back into my bag and left, crying at this lady's awful people skills and lack of human decency. What should have been a 30 second post office visit was turned into an emotional fiasco that offset my entire day. Also, I checked the USPS website, and my oversize flat-rate envelopes are perfectly fine to send. GET NEW EMPLOYEES HERE! I know customer service is a hard job I know!!, but these people seriously lack the necessary qualifications for this job, including being nice to people just trying to go about their day, and general knowledge about shipping.
