The ladies at this location are exceptionally nice and kind. I came here today to mail a box and send out few letters. After sending my box, I was filling out my envelopes for the letters I was sending. A disabled gentleman with speech aphasia needed to mail something. It was very difficult to understand him. The lady behind the counter immediately came around and tried to help him with his request. At some point he needed to phone a family member for more info. The mail office clerk very patiently waited for him to get the needed information and spoke to the family member at some point for more guidance. I was very impressed by this lady's kindness.
I've been coming to this location for three years, I was amazed at the outstanding customer service they provide here, from the very first minute you arrive they welcome everyone and take the time to answer everything you need. In these last few times I met Marwa who is awesome!
Wanted to send an international letter and the lady never explained how to do it…the letter never arrived…Went to USPS North Bergen and the service is much better. More friendly staff
This is a small, but usually BUSY, very convenient U.S. Post Office. I love the location...and the USPS workers there are very helpful and nice--despite all the stress they are no doubt under. There is a small area where people are often lined up. A separate hall where one can drop off large and small letters. They are efficient. If you live in Hoboken especially northern Hoboken, it is great to be able to simply walk to the Post Office. If you are driving here, you may be able to find temporary parking on the street--but there is parking lot, and you could get a parking ticket...
Guess it depends on when you go as my experience did not match the others that have reviewed this location. There was one employee working at this location and it is a pretty small location, only 3 people could stand inside the location observing social distancing. If more than 3, than you either need to stand in the vestibule or outside. It felt like it took the average amount of time for a USPS transaction and there were a few people that came in just to drop off prepaid mailings. The clerk was informative enough to let people know dropping prepaid mailings to make sure they kept their distance from the customer that was at the counter.
There is usually a wait, but that is all right. Unfortunate issue is the USA flag that is leaning against the wall and laying on the floor. I told them and they don't care. Also, the place has mold issues and needs to clean the floor; always dirty and stinky. Other wise no other issues.
staff are wonderful, she is very helpful person
What I’ve noticed is customers jumping on employees despite the fact that you can see they are trying to hurry up and shrink the line. There is only one worker during the week at my main satellite post office. The people there are always fast and helpful. The customers get in line, go to the window and are told to go back, fill out the paperwork and get back in line. I’m giving the customers 2 stars.
Marwa completely made my day! I didn’t have the form I needed, but instead of sending me away she processed my express mail anyway and then gave me a form to fill so I didn’t have to step back in line. She was so cheerful that I left a happier person. Amazing.
Worst service EVER. We're still waiting for a large book shipment from the U.K. that has yet to appear. It's been more than a month. Of course they don't even have a tracking number for us. These books are gifts for our daughter and nieces. As usual, if you want something to arrive expeditiously don't use the United States Postal Service!
